Next Wednesday is the Projected Image Competition Round 4, this final round is being judged by our own John Chamberlin FRPS APAGB MFIAP and this evening will be when we see the overall competition winners crowned.
|
The next meeting of the DI Group meeting is on Monday 14 March, as usual all members are welcome, especially if they bring along images to share with us all, either to get help and advice from fellow members or just to show off what exotic places you have taken your camera to recently; images should either be prints or JPEG files (saved on a USB memory stick only please). Ashwin hopes to be able to give a short talk on "How I use Raw to process my images" - and don't forget coffee/tea and Ashwin's now famous chocolate biscuits.

Those of you who are interested in joining the email group for the resurrected Beyond the Wall Group (see last week's newsletter) should email Col (Hajee) at the following address:

Print Competition Round 3 - All Winners
|
If you were one of the winners in Round 3 of the Print Competition (placed or an HC) please let Barry have a digital copy for the website. Images should ideally measure 600 pixels along the longest side and be saved at 72 dpi, however if that gives you a headache, just save them at the usual competition settings of max 1400 x 1050 pixels. Files should be named in the format image image title-your name-award.jpg.

Andy Hoang, BPS member and Calumet manager, has suggested that it might be a good idea to have a late night opening once a month on a Wednesday, so that BPS members can combine a trip to club with a trip to "the shops". Before Andy commits to this, we need to gauge the likely support for this so that he can decide whether it is going to be a worthwhile exercise, so could you please email me at newsletter@bristolphoto.org to let me know if you would be likely to take advantage of this service. When emailing, would you please just put CALUMET in the subject line.
