Dear Neighbors,
Tomorrow, Thursday January 6th, at 7 pm the Hoboken Board of Education (BoE) will be hosting a meeting, at Hoboken High School (800 Clinton Street), at which it will go over its proposal for a new high school for the City, as well as other renovated educational facilities.
The Board of Education’s architects presented their proposal to the Planning Board in December. You can view the link to that Planning Board meeting here. The public can also see and learn a lot about the BoE’s holistic plan in a helpful 10-minute animation video demonstrating the vision for the new High School facility that you can watch here.
Questions asked at previous public meetings hosted by the BoE have been put together into a helpful FAQ that you can review here. (This is a “living document” — periodically updated with new information in response to new questions.)
You can also review an informational FlipBook about this project here or email your questions or requests for more information to ProposedNewHHS@hoboken.k12.nj.us as we head towards a January 25, 2022 referendum on whether the community supports a $241 million bond issue to underwrite the cost of these improvements for Hoboken’s School District.
There will be two more community meetings, on January 13th at 7pm via Zoom and on January 17th at 7pm at Hoboken High School, as the community approaches the January 25, 2022 referendum.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks!
