Next Wednesday is the highlight of the projected image year with the Annual Projected Image Competition. This year it is being judged by an old friend of BPS, Tom Dodd FRPS from North Wales. We are sure to be in for an entertaining evening with Tom, who judges in his own inimitable style.

Last week I mentioned that Barry Mead had an acceptance in the FIAP Nature Biennial Exhibition in India. No sooner had I hit the SEND button than I received an email from Shaun Boycott-Taylor saying "Me too, me too!". So to save me from getting a thick lip, here is Shaun's winning image.

Would members who use the studio please make sure that they lock the door from the entrance lobby into the studio when leaving. When I turned up to open the clubroom for last Monday's DI Group meeting this door was unlocked. Please remember that the lobby is not exclusive to BPS as other people have (legitimate) access to the lobby.

We have received notice of several events coming up soon that you may be interested in signing up for:
3 & 4 June - Probably the largest group of Dakota Aircraft gathered together in the UK since WWII, at HMS Daedalus (RNAS Lee-on-the-Solent). In addition to these iconic aircraft, there will also be a Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Stagger Wing that will be appearing in its original DDay colours (Blue & Grey), a Beach Expeditor in Fleet Air Arm colours, a Kennet Sea Fire and the possibility of a RNHF Sea Fury and two Spitfires. For full details, please follow this link.
July & August - For those of you interested in a more sedate form of transport, there are a number of chances to photograph steam locos at Didcott Railway Centre in the coming months. Full details of these events can be found here.
