CHILDREN INVITED TO WRITE A BOOK!

Budding young writers (aged six and up) are invited to attend two FREE writing workshops at the Festival of World Cultures in Dún Laoghaire on Sunday, 30 August. Each of the participants will produce their own book,  and their writings and illustrations will also be included in a published book, which will tour Ireland next year.

Writer Mary Branley and visual artist Vanya Labrecht will lead the workshops, which will be facilitated by Kid’s Own, an award-winning children's arts organisation specialising in collaborative projects involving professional development and publishing.

The one a half hour workshops will take place at the festival’s World Book Corner in The People's Park, between12pm and 1.30pm, and again between 3.30pm and 5.00pm.
