In The News...

Whether in the office or at home, Lori gives you valuable organizing advice in her recent Dayton Daily News articles
Where have you been?...

For those of you who track your mileage for a tax deduction, there is a simple way to keep a log. Purchase a spiral bound calendar and store it between the front seat of your car and your center console. Here it’s positioned next to your seat belt to serve as a reminder to record your mileage.

When you leave for your business trip, simply record the pertinent information, such as client name, along with your mileage on the appropriate day in your calendar.

At the end of the year, you’ll know your mileage and details for each of your work days.

Weight Loss 101...

A common New Year's resolution is to lose weight. How about putting your house on the diet this year while fattening up your bank account?

Make this the year you sell the items you no longer use. Ebay, Craiglist, and consignment shops are great ways to turn your trash into cash.

The secret to success is setting a deadline for when you’ll list the items for sale. If you miss this deadline, you donate them instead.

Whether you sell or donate your items, your life will feel lighter while your wallet gets heavier.

One More Thing...

January is officially National Get Organized Month.

Look at the magazine newsstands and advertisements from your local retail shops and you’ll see all kinds of organizing products for sale during this time.

Before you buy anything, consider this stat: 6.8 Billion dollars are spent on organizing products every year, yet 2 out of 3 people say they are disorganized.

Most organizing products are designed to help you store more than you realistically need. These products can sometimes hinder your organizing efforts.

Focus less on finding the right organizing product, and more on what you really need to keep in order to help you reach this year’s goals.

Find the confidence and energy to get organized this year, and watch your personal and professional life improve by year end.

I’m cheering for your Happy Organized New Year!
