The AFFA What's Up - Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Due to the holidays, the AFFA What's Up e-newsletter has been put on hold, but we will resume our twice-a-month schedule starting Monday, January 18. For now, we'd like to remind you about the Benini Galleries & Sculpture Ranch Tour, in Johnson City, Texas, this Saturday, January 16, 2010.

Here's the schedule:
9:00 a.m. Carpools leave on the dot!
10:30 a.m. Benini Galleries & Sculpture Ranch (walk or drive to explore)
12:30 p.m. Lunch at Silver K Cafe in Johnson City
2:00 p.m. Stop at Pieces of the Past; coffee & cookies hosted by owner, Kathy Johnson (business member)

Cost: $25/person includes gas money for drivers, donation to Benini Foundation and lunch.

Pay by check at carpool meet-up site.

Carpools: North—Meet at Randall’s at 2222 & Balcones. South—Meet at Barton Creek Mall. Willing to
drive? Call 467-2272 and tell Barbara Jackson how many passengers you can take.

WANT TO LIST YOUR EVENT IN THE AFFA WHAT'S UP?

In the past, many of you have been e-mailing our Board President, Merry Wheaton, your event listing requests. As Alexandra Landeros has taken over the AFFA e-newsletter, now sent out twice a month, we ask that you please send all listing requests to alexandra@alumni.cmu.edu.

Please be sure to include a graphic you'd like to use (one that looks good small, as you see throughout the e-newsletter) and a brief description of the event.

As we've been making this transition, we apologize that some requests have fallen through the cracks. We'll send out follow up e-newsletters for a while until we get our system smoothed out. Note that the next What's Up will go out on Monday, January 18. To have your event listed in the next What's Up, please send your requests to Alexandra no later than Sunday, January 17. Thank you!
