Instant Photography!
Rob Stephenson spotted this on the Royal International Air Tattoo Facebook page. If you've ever complained at the amount of time it takes you to set up a picture, then I suggest that you follow the link below, it takes you to a Youtube video that is about 30 minutes long, but its well worth the watch.

Photographer Richard Cooke, who was responsible for some of the most iconic photos of RAF jets throughout the 1980s, passed away this month. Richard's work still inspires aviation photographers around the world today. You can watch him in action in the fascinating 1985 BBC documentary 'Moment of Truth' on his YouTube channel: youtu.be/oWGAY4jLyLo

ITS NOT PARTICULARLY EASY FINDING "DATES FOR YOUR DIARY", SO I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF MEMBERS COULD LET ME KNOW OF ANY EVENTS, EXHIBITIONS OR PICTURE LOCATIONS THAT THEY THINK WOULD BE OF INTEREST. DATES AND WEB LINKS WOULD HELP.

Trumpet Blowers' Corner
Well done to Steve Field who gained 3 x HMs, 2 x Judges' Awards and a Salon Award in the recent Great British Super Digital Circuit. His image "Sorrow" gained awards in the Monochrome Portrait Section of three of the exhibitions (West Cumbria: HM, Penrith: Judge's award and Hoylake: Salon award), the image is reproduced below.

Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
