We're excited to share another week of news & ideas with our MAiZE family. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.
Update on Sesame Street Partnership
Thank you to all those who have been patiently waiting for an update on the proposed Sesame Street maze partnership opportunity this season. As some of you know, we have been waiting for the official legal agreement that Sesame indicated each farm would need to sign, following several months of discussions and negotiations with their public relations team. Unfortunately, this final step in the process has produced an agreement that we don't believe is feasible and/or beneficial for most of our farms, due to some unforeseen legal restrictions resulting from Sesame Workshop's non-profit status. First and foremost, it has been brought to our attention that Sesame will be unable to enter into an agreement with any farm who is affiliated with any sponsors. Because the large majority of you do have sponsors, this would therefore prevent you from being able to utilize Sesame characters in your maze design, etc.

We are terribly sorry for this outcome, which was just shared with us. It is something even our contacts in the PR dept. of Sesame were unaware of until their legal department just addressed it in the legal agreement. Though we will not be moving forward with a MAiZE-wide partnership effort, if there are any farms who do not work with sponsors and would like to pursue a Sesame partnership further, please contact Sesame Workshop at the emails below to explore further possibilities on an individual basis:

For those who were planning to pursue a Sesame-themed maze, who are now unable to, we encourage you to:

1. Browse our design directory in our online toolbox to explore new ideas and possibilities.

2. Last year many farms chose to pursue a superhero theme, for which we do have available sample artwork, games, signage, etc. If this interests you, additional info can be viewed at:

3. We will be developing games/signage, etc. for additional topics - like the superhero theme - and will be releasing details on those new topics in the coming week.

Again, we are so sorry that this Sesame partnership did not materialize in a way that is beneficial for all of our farms. Our top priority is to look out for your interests and develop partnerships that provide you with the best possible opportunities for success, which unfortunately can't be met for the majority of us due to this last-minute, unforeseen news from the Sesame legal department.
