The annual BPS outing takes place next Wednesday 31 July. Mike Hall has managed to get the club a private viewing session of house and grounds at KINGS WESTON HOUSE kingswestonhouse.co.uk. There are also great views of the Severn estuary and bridges and we'll be at the right place at the right time to get some good sun-down pictures.
Meet for 7.00pm to finish by 9.00pm.

In issue 343 the newsletter carried an item about Steve Field and his success in the 2019 EISA Maestro competition. This showed Steve as having won the UK round of this international competition. Things have now moved on and he is now in the fight for the overall international title. To win this he needs your support, so please follow this link VOTE FOR STEVE and place your vote. A warning, the page you are taken to may be a bit slow to appear, so please be patient. So far 20 members have cast a vote, as a club we need to support our members in positions like this, it really does boost the name of not just Steve but also the club - so come on, support Steve and get those votes in!

Last week I asked if you could spread the word about the photography course, both by word of mouth and by social media. Below is a picture advertising the course which you might like to download by clicking on the picture and include in your Facebook (other social media sites are available) page. Alternatively you could download and print the poster and display it in places local to you.
Please remember, that the low cost of your BPS subscription can only remain that way for as long as we continue to get a good attendance (and therefore income) on the course. We would ask, therefore, that as many members as possible help to publicise the course. |
Canon 5D mk iv - excellent condition, as always in the silicone cover, which comes with it - £1,650 ono
Canon 100-400mm mk 2 L IS lens - superb, but only used once! (due to change of camera) - £1,850 ono
Canon Flashguns, remote controls cable and electronic, ring and discuss.

Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.
Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
