Hurray & Welcome!
Its 2021 & there's FINALLY been some AMAZING vaccine news over the last couple weeks. I'm so relieved to be able to say I was able to arrange for my 88-year old parents to vaccinated last week! But while some people say we're almost done with this debacle, the truth is we still have a some big hurdles to clear first, so... please keep wearing a mask & being safe & pretending that nothing is normal yet. Please.
And in the meantime, here's some FUN news to read (as opposed to the scary, angry news we're surrounded with right now!) So what are we waiting for?
Let's Get Started!

It’s
time for your monthly treat for the eyes & here’s the deal…this
month's selection of bags is REALLY lovely, in fact... they're all AMAZING! ALL of the bags pictured below have been shared recently on either our FaceBook business page, our Instagram feed or on our Group page on FaceBook.

Ray McCoy is our newest Bag Dude and he created this version of our Guardian design for a friend
and he obviously LOVES this fabric collection. (I do too!)
I love the fabric Linda Carrington chose for her Guardian! Linda said she enjoyed making this bag
but did find it more challenging than most! She did a GREAT job!
Joy Carr says this special order Sling Along (in “Jack Sling” fabric) is ready to be sent off to a new home!
Dale Whyte uses a cane so her new Sling Along allows her to be hands-free while still having easy access to her stuff. Dale opted for a 1″ strap instead of 1 1/2″.
Here’s another bag all dolled up in “Dia de Los Meutros” fabric and I never get tired of seeing them. This amazing Everyday Attache was created by bag dude extraordinaire, Don Distler!
And our Quattro also looks spectacular in “Day of the Dead”, no? Don Distler… your vision is inspiring!
And look how excited Patti Blevins is after completing her very 1st Sling Along. As a confirmed child of the 60’s, this tie dye print hits all the right notes with me!
Joy Carr said that this particular Sling Along represents 2020 for her! She says that she and “Big Bird” are ready to GO! |
Alison Cansdale has made over a dozen Quattro‘s over the last 5 years and here’s her latest, all done up in Australian fabrics! SO impressive!
Nancy Rosa said that she just couldn’t wait to try out the ErgoMatic pattern and she’s in fact the first customer to send in pictures of
this completed design. Nancy says this is a very roomy bag and would be
great to take on a trip!

In early May, I received a text from a close friend who lives several blocks away: “Do you want a kitten?”
At that point, hours & days & weeks were drifting by in a fog of restless ennui. I was home, all the time. The tense silence was pierced by ambulance sirens every three to five minutes. My then-4-year-old daughter was attending virtual preschool, & each minute felt more tenuous and bizarre than the last.
Did I want a kitten? Of course I wanted a kitten! {Click HERE to read more}

You probably have a drawer full of old batteries & cables, & some old phones, laptops & desktops lying around, which may only be growing larger if you've replaced any of your electronics over the holidays. Perhaps you keep them for nostalgic reasons. Be brave. Stay focused. Peek into your drawers, the garage or a dark corner of your closet, & you're sure to find a pile of electronics you really don't need. {click HERE to read more}

It all started with a pair of old curtains. In late March, as Colorado, USA, creeped into lockdown, 23-year-old Jonathan Simanjuntak began his search for a new hobby. “Quarantine was getting really serious,” he tells me from his home in Aurora, a city spread across two of the state’s hardest hit counties. It didn't take him long to land on sewing. {Click HERE to read more}
