'Sliced from History'
Art Collection of Florence Benson

The exhibition was opened by Frances Ademola, renowned gallerist and art lover.
Florence Benson is the first Ghanaian art collector to voluntarily make her collection open to the general public.
With calls for a national collection to be started by Nubuke Foundation several visitors had the rare opportunity to see works from A.O. Bartimeus and Nigerian artist Bruce Onobrakpeya. The exhibition is of collected works spanning a period over 40 years with early contemporary Ghanaian artists as well as young up and coming ones.

Exhibition will open in Accra on 24 November with an 'Art Talk' with the artists and curators. Artists will give us an insight to research based approach to creating their works and other influences infused in the works.
Will continue till 10 February 2013.
This exhibition in Accra was made possible with the sponsorship of Arts Collaboratory and HIVOS in the Netherlands.
 
Eha-Lakasa- Ghana Poetry Group
 
Eha-Lakasa is a straight talk, street philosophy, spoken poetry and music performances session which happens at the Nubuke Foundation’s East Legon premises.
This community of poets promote and encourages free forms of self expression on the genre. Become a part of the experience.
Next date is 28 October at 6:00pm.
