Exhibition:Secrets under the Skin
Nubuke Foundation
6 and 7 2013

2 day exhibition of paintings, photographs, manuscripts and performances on the religious links between
the Ewe's of Ghana and Togo amnd the Arara of Perrico in Cuba.
The performance by Marianne Kim kept the audience captivated and rooted within the exhibition space
as she revealed the 'secrets under her skin'.

Exhibition of recent works by Practising Artist International members-Seth Clottey, Kofi Nduro,
NiiT. Mills and Wiz Kudowor opened on 20 July, 2013. This was opened by Mr. Amon Kwafo, director of
television, GTV.The body of works range from the bold brush strokes capturing daily scenes in various
walks of life to abstract figures and forms. Exhibition continues till 30 August.
 
Photography-'A conscious perspective'

The effects of the photographer's perspective were the subject of Nana Kofi Acquah's talk in the second 
series on photography. Part of his presentation looked at stereotype 'African' images emerging from the
pre-colonial era. The thorny subject of the African identity in the artist's work as always one which
gets passions rising and this was no exception.

Lots of giggles from tickled children added to the mirth when the Shakespearan group took over
the grounds of Nubuke Foundation for their play,Comedy of Errors.
Again this year, the feisty energetic director, Elisabeth Sutherlan nurtured the nascent talents of
the young team to come up with a performance worthy of several encores.
Look out for future drama productions at Nubuke Foundation.

Kofi Setordji's work showing here in the lobby of the Apollo Hotel is part of the 2013 edition of ARTZUID. ArtZuid 2013 showcases mostly sculptural works by 61 artists,including El Anatsui, Atta Kwami.
These can be seen in the avenues of the leafy suburbs of southern district of Amsterdam.
