Hello good people!
We've missed you and are eager to see you again! Come to our Mainstage production Founders, Friends & Faves on September 12 at the Alberta Abbey. Not only will there be fabulous stories, but this season we're bringing live music to our shows! Plus we've got new workshop offerings and have been busy making a new web site, setting up a new donor system, partnering with a new ticketing group -- complete with discounts and specials -- and getting ready for some shows around the state. And it's all because of you, your support, and your love of story and Portland Story Theater!

Workshop Offerings
This season, in an effort to reach more people with the transformative power of storytelling, we’ve decided to offer two new, shorter workshops.
The Storytelling Starter is only 90 minutes and it’s only 20 bucks! There’s no performance at the end. This one is going to be fun, fast-paced, and fabulous, and it’s designed for about 40 participants with four instructors. We're partnering with TEDxMtHood and this session is scheduled for 7 pm on the evening of Wednesday, September 9, 2015. It's almost full, so please register sooner rather than later!
Storytelling Bootcamp Our second new offering is a day-long intensive, including lunch. Like the 90-minute Storytelling Starter, there’s no performance at the end. We’ll help you identify story source material, work on the elements of story, and break into smaller groups to share your ideas. This one will be great for folks who want to work on a story they have in mind but aren’t ready to get up on stage and tell it to the world, or simply can't make a big time commitment. We’re targeting this one for a 20+ participants and the first session is scheduled for 10:30 am, Sunday, November 22, 2015.
The Art of Personal Narrative We are continuing to offer our 5-week Art of Personal Narrative but we’re only doing five sessions this season and they are already filling up. You can check the dates and prerequisites on our brand new website. pdxstorytheater.org/workshops/ Call 503-284-2226 to register and secure your space.
