Hello Firstname

Next Wednesday is the climax of the competitive projected image year with the Annual Projected Image competition, which is being judged by Martin Fry FRPS APAGB EFIAP/b AV-FIAP. Martin is a well known speaker and both national and international judge (he'll be one of the judges for the Bristol Salon next year) so we can expect a thoroughly entertaining evening. .

Warwick
As many will know, BPS is one of the two clubs representing the WCPF at the PAGB Inter-Club PDI Competition at Warwick University on 13 July, below is a copy of the PAGB flyer advertising the event. It would be really great if members could go along to show support for BPS at what is always a great day out. Click on the flyer to find out more and to purchase tickets.

Competition to Enter
We have received the following from SINWP (The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers)
We are incredibly excited to announce the 2019
SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year Competition.

If you love taking pictures of birds then we invite you to enter the SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year 2019 Competition

Help raise vital funds for The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds RSPB
Colin Jones The Societies Company Director says, “We are really excited to announce the competition is back for 2019. We are asking for a small donation of £1 per image and 100% of this donation goes straight to the RSPB to help them protect wildlife and the wider countryside you love.”

He continues, “Not only are we looking forward to seeing all your wonderful images, we are also looking forward to helping the RSPB and with your help hopefully we can make a sizeable donation.”

The winner of the competition will win over £1,000 worth of photographic prizes, as well as the prestigious SINWP 2019 Bird Photographer of the Year Trophy and Certificate.

The competition closes on 30 September 2019. So don’t delay and enter your images today.

Trumpet Blower's Corner
Well done to Steve Field who had 5 prints accepted in the recent Hoylake International Exhibition.

Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
