After 5 months of interviewing, training, briefing, waiting, and more waiting... we're finally on our way.

 

Our 7-man team departed Denver Int'l Airport a few hours ago and are now in Washington DC waiting to jump on the flight to Dubai and on to Kabul.

As I've said before, I’ll try to send an update every day, but please don’t worry if you don’t hear from me for a day or two (or three) – it doesn’t mean anything bad has happened.  Electricity and Internet service are frequently interrupted and getting updates out regularly can be a challenge.

I’ll try to write again as soon as we're safely on the ground in Kabul.
