BPS Annual General Meeting – Wednesday 30th July 2025 |
This newsletter is to give you notice that the Annual General Meeting of Bristol Photographic Society will be held, at the Clubrooms and on Zoom, on Wednesday 30 July 2025 at 7.30pm.
Please find attached documents for the AGM.
- The Annual Report and Accounts for 2024-5. Please note that these will require the formal approval of the BPS Council on the 10 July.
- List of the present members of the Council of the Society who are required to resign at the AGM but are eligible for re-election. All have stated that they are willing to be re-nominated for membership of the Council of the Society.
- The form for proposing a new member of the Society’s Council and for the nominated person consenting to this proposal. Please note that under new legislation all company directors (of even small companies such as BPS) have to consent to verify their identity with Companies House. This legal requirement will come into force on 1 September 2025 and will need to be completed by June 2026 when BPS have to file certain information with Companies House. This is a simple and quick process. Advice on how to undertake this process will be given to the new BPS directors.
- Extract from the Society’s Articles of Association outlining the rules on election/re-election to membership of the Society’s Council.
- Proxy Form. To be returned by Saturday 26 July 2025 as outlined on the form.
The AGM will be followed by the presentation of cups and trophies won by members during the year and an informal 'party' to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of BPS moving to the present clubrooms in Montpelier.
