Pathway Launch
One of the most exciting and innovative initiatives from UGLE is about to be launched in the Province of West Wales. The Membership Pathway covers all aspects of Recruitment and Retention and will be launched at three very special meetings around the Province. Click here for full details.
 
Provincial Church Service
The Provincial Church Service will be held in St Mary's Church, Tenby, on Sunday 3rd June 2018 at 3.00pm. Full details will be published shortly, but please make a note of the date in your diaries. I will keep posting this until you have all put the date in your diaries.

Appointments and Promotions
This year's lists of Appointments and Promotions have been published. The full list of Craft Appointments and Promotions can be found here and the Royal Arch list can be found here.
 
The Brethren and Companions concerned will be invested with their appointments and promotions at the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge and Grand Chapter which take place on Thursday 5th July 2017 at Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli. 
 
West Wales Comedy Weekend
A great  night of entertainment has been organised where four high calibre comedians will be entertaining, alongside getting a 'pie and a pint'. For more details click here.

To secure the future of Freemasonry one objective of UGLE’s 2015-2020 Our Strategy at a Glance is to ensure that facilities and standards of Masonic centres meet the needs of ‘modern man’.
 
The Provincial Grand Master invites expressions of interest in the position of Provincial Masonic Centres Officer from experienced brethren who have appropriate buildings management knowledge.  For further details click here.
 
West Wales Provincial Quiz 2018. 
Following on from the success of last year’s Provincial quiz it has been decided to replicate and hold a similar event this year.
The format has been changed slightly in that only 2 members of the team are now required to be members of the Craft with the additional members being either wives, partners, family or friends.
This will hopefully encourage multiple entries from Lodge’s to what will fundamentally be a family event.  For further details click here.
 
Carmarthen Youth Opera
RW Bro Stephen Hookey presents £2500 to Wyn Rees, President of Carmarthen Youth Opera
The Province of West Wales is delighted to continue their support of the Carmarthen Youth Opera. The Provincial Grand Master, along with other members of the Provincial Executive, were in attendance on Saturday 24th February 2018 to present a cheque for £2500 to this years cast of "Guys and Dolls" as part of the rolling programme of awards from the West Wales Provincial Grand Charity.
 
Travelling gavel
WM Marc Bassett claiming the traveling gavel of WM Ian Barnes at Neyland lodge meeting on 8th February.
As was forecast in last month's issue Trevor Kelway Lodge made the long treck to Neyland to secure the travelling gavel, by taking an impressive 13 visitors down west.  For your chance to claim the gavel, TK's next meeting is on the 1st March at Harries Avenue, Llanelli  For further details of how to obtain the gavel click here.
