Let's start with the big news- we will be re-opening the shop to in person traffic on Wednesday, May 20!! We are very excited about this, but want to continue being very cautious. We recognize that many of you are higher risk groups and it is important to keep us all safe, so things are going to look a little different for a while.
Our hours are going to be shorter (Tuesday-Sunday 12-4pm) and we are going to offer appointment-only slots three days a week (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 10am-12pm) for those who need to shop without any other customers around.
Appointments for private shopping can be made at least 24 hours in advance via phone or email. We will announce openings on Facebook if all the slots aren’t taken.
Since we have such a small space, there will be a two customer limit at all times with a sign on the door indicating if we are at capacity. If you arrive and we are full, we ask that you wait in your car for the sign to flip.
All customers will be required to wear masks while in the shop. We have a limited amount of cloth masks available if you need one and when those run out we have some locally-made ones available for purchase.
Please do not wear gloves in the shop. Instead, we are asking everyone to wash their hands upon entering the shop, rewashing or using hand sanitizer as needed.
We will continue shipping and contactless curbside pickups during all of the hours we are open. You can call, email, or buy from our online shop.
We will not be offering sit down help at this time. If you have a problem that can be handed off and quickly fixed by us, we can help you with that, but it is not possible to teach while maintaining social distancing requirements at this time.
If you need your yarn wound, we will do it while you wait in your car (small orders) or for later retrieval (large orders.)
The biggest lesson we have learned through all of this is the necessity of flexibility. We did our best to put together a comprehensive opening plan based on the requirements of the state as well as your protection, but we can’t see into the future and there are factors we might have missed. We expect there will be more changes in the coming weeks and months and we will do our best to keep you informed. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions or concerns you might have and thank you for your continued support.
