SURREY SCOUT WATER ACTIVITIES CLUB
 
River Wey Paddle Godalming towards Guildford
7th April 2019
 
 
As a part of British Canoeing “Go Canoeing” initiative, SSWAC have arranged a paddle along the Wey navigation from the SSWAC centre in Godalming towards Guildford, returning to the centre in the afternoon after a picnic lunch. Club boats will be made available at a discounted rate on the day.
 
 
Trip Information
Meet at SSWAC boathouse at 09:30
Take a picnic lunch, food and a drink, packed in suitable waterproof container
Return to Godalming at approximately 15:30
Finish approximately 16:00
Boat Hire & equipment hire £3.00 per person. Free if using own equipment
All participants should come suitably dressed for the activity and weather
 
Prerequisites
Trip is open to scouts and scout leaders.
Scouts that are unaccompanied by a leader must bring a completed permission slip
Participants should be old 1 star level, able to paddle forward in a straight line in canoe or kayak.
