NEWS FOR CAT LOVERS
===================================

A Florida woman threw her cat's filthy litter box contents
onto her girlfriend, then slapped her around and tried to
strangle her. Why? Because her friend wouldn't share
her drugs with her. She's in jail while authorities try to
sort things out. (This would be funny, if it weren't for the
terrible conditions the cat probably lives in.)

This brave kitty survived some horrendous cruelty and was
given up for dead, at first. But this one has a happy ending...

-------------------------

Do you use any hormone-containing creams? Using lotions on yourself
can affect your pets, too. When you handle them, they can also absorb some
of the chemicals meant for you.

In response to the shortage of help in the workforce for veterinary
needs, Congress is being urged to vote for some initiatives to help
them. There could be better deductions for vet workers' expenses, vehicle
allowances, certain tax credits for rural practices, and other provisions.

Joey, the "calendar cat"

My friend Jean Cornelius rescued a feral kitty by the side
of the road, and now he's a star! Joey is featured in the 2010
365 Cats Page-A-Day Calendar! He's on the page at March 8, 2010.
