Greetings,
The Legacy Arts Project, Inc. is PROUD to enter 2011 with a renewed
and rejuvenated spirit. In October 2010, we presented Pittsburgh's
FIRST DanceAfrica, celebrating the diverse arts of our community's
dance base, with three of Pittsburgh's premier dance companies
the Legacy Arts Project, Inc., August Wilson Dance Ensemble, and
Balafon West African Dance Ensemble.
We
are also pleased to announce the return of our Monday Night Classes
for Spring 2011.
WE
HAVE A NEW SCHEDULE OF CLASSES!!!
6pm-7pm
Music and Drum Class with Brother Shabaka
Music is one of the most important parts to what we do.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn the rhythms that we dance
to in class.
We are also blessed to have a limited number of Djembe Drums and
Percussion instruments
available for your learning experience.
7pm-8pm
Legacy Dance Class
We are drawn in by the music. We can't resist the desire to move
our bodies and spirits to the drum.
Join us as we continue to travel through the African Diaspora
