Another update, second one this year!
Latest info on the building
A number of things have happened since we last wrote.
First of all, we’ve received ALL the necessary permissions to build - thank You LORD! That means we have everything LEGALLY in place to build the Prayer House. The official Building Project document describes the purpose of the building as: “To conduct activities that include the organisation and leading of prayer meetings”. So, everything is in the open. Everything is in the light.
Then this morning several lorries and diggers turned up! It was the electricity company putting in the power cables and electricity cabinet for the Prayer House. This was our very first “dig” on the land and in 2 weeks, we were told, we would be getting an electricity meter and access to electricity.
As we mentioned last time, we feel that NOW is the time to “go for it” and to start the building THIS YEAR. We want to put in the FOUNDATIONS and the BASEMENT, which is probably the most difficult part of the project, because the water level is so high. Everything must be absolutely water-tight.
So this week we met with a builder. We originally had 3 builders lined up but 2 dropped out, so this was our “last resort”. When he arrived we immediately took a liking to him. He had a lot of experience and seemed to know all the problems (and solutions!) of building a basement so close to the water level. He could also meet our timescales, which was important. At the end of the meeting, he asked us what the building was for, so we told him it would be used as a prayer centre. “Oh - so we’re building for God!” he said. And Dorota, our friend and translator, said “AMEN!" It turned out he was a believer and had friends in common with Dorota, who came to the meeting to translate if we got stuck. We really felt the hand of God on this.
So, in summary, the building project, the foundations and basement, will start at the end of August and last 2 months. This, for us - and for the Foundation - is a step of faith!!

Spirit and soul
A prayer house is like a person – with a spirit, soul and body! The building, the physical element, is the body. The people and the relationships make up the soul. And of course, the prayer and the worship - the spiritual life of the prayer house - is the spirit. All three are important!
Having brought you up to date about the body, I (Cathy) would like to say something about the soul and the spirit. This week, I was reminded of people who have visited us over the years and the effect of their visit upon us.
We have had many people come to us, some for only a few hours, some for a few days, and some for a few months. I don’t think we could have stayed here this long if the Lord hadn't sent them - and that includes some of you who are reading this! Every visit has been an encouragement. Every visit has deposited something here. Some people have encouraged us personally and others have deposited anointings in the Spirit which we have been able to move into. Some people knew what they were doing, but as I thought about this, I wondered if everyone knew what they did here. So that's why I am writing this - to thank and encourage everyone who has visited us over the past nine years, either in Krakow or here in Brzezinka. You have been God’s gift to us, and to what the Lord is doing here. Thank you!
The Manifest Presence of the Lord is what we need here more than anything. We have been encouraged to see what God is doing here, but we are always asking for more of Him. What amazes me is when someone is praying in our little prayer room and I am doing something somewhere else in the house, how the Presence of the Holy Spirit “seeps out” of the prayer room and gives me a “cuddle”! We can feel the Presence when people are worshipping and seeking the Lord. It changes the atmosphere. This atmosphere of His Presence releases and enables us to come into a place of healing, restoration and revelation. It works for us and so I believe it works for the whole area too!
We are looking to the Lord for our provision, encouragement and spiritual food, but He often chooses to work through his people, so it’s important that we stay connected!
It’s not so much about persevering and doing “stuff”, but about getting closer and closer in intimacy with the Lord - hearing His voice, feeling His Presence, knowing His purpose "for me”. And His purpose for me is to be filled with Him in every way – to be made complete in Him! And that is for all of us!
