Sunday, November 1, 9am-12pm   Leaders: Ruth Bergstrom and Jack Dettner  Kayak/canoe at Mariner Point Park (bring your own boat)
Join us for a leisurely, kayak/canoe trip along the shores of this Harford County park in Joppatowne near the mouth of the Gunpowder River and up the adjacent Foster Branch.   We will look for waterfowl, song birds, vegetation, etc.   Bring your binoculars, boat, paddle and life jacket.  Be ready to launch promptly at 9:00 at the kayak launch which is on the right side of the park road about 500 feet past the power boat launch.  To register, contact Ruth at ruth22@yahoo.com or 443-752-1967.

Sunday, November 1, 2:00pm to 5:00pm  Patapsco State Park: Grist Mill Trail     Leader: Bryan MacKay
Patapsco Fall Color Walk. Join naturalist Bryan MacKay for a 3-mile walk on the mostly paved Grist Mill Trail to look at birds, plants and fall color. At the halfway point, we'll hike 300 yards on a dirt trail to see a waterfall. This is a pretty section of Patapsco,

Monday, November 16, 8:00-10:00AM Late Fall Migrants Bird Walk at Pickering Creek Audubon Center
Enjoy watching birds through out every season of the year at Pickering Creek Audubon Center. Each walk is led by experienced birders and members of Talbot Bird Club. Visitors of all skill levels are welcome. Binoculars are available to borrow.   See eagles and ospreys soar over the creek, woodpeckers at work in the mature hardwood forest, sparrows flitting about in the meadows, and waterfowl in the wetlands.  Call 410-822-4903 to

Thursday, November 19,7:00-9:00PM,$5 per person, Nature at Night Hike at Pickering Creek Audubon Center
Explore Pickering Creek at night. Learn to identify nocturnal animals and insects by sound as we hike through forests and wetlands and stop along
the way to call in owls and light up the darkness to see who may be looking back at us. End the evening next to a warm fire with hot chocolate in hand.  Call 410-822-4903 to register.

Saturday, Nov. 7, 9-1030AM, Habitat Garden Volunteers Needed.  Help beautify Audubon's native gardens in Patterson Park!  Tools, gloves, water, and snacks provided.  Service hours awarded.  No need to register.  Meet at the pollinator garden on the western edge of the boat Lake or wetland garden just uphill.   Contact Patterson Park Audubon at ppaudubon@gmail.com or call 410-558-2473 if you have questions.  Patterson Park can always use volunteers with their classroom programs.  Please contact them for more information.
 
Pickering Creek Audubon Center:    
There are several ongoing volunteers opportunities needed at Pickering Creek including gardening, trail monitoring, mowing, and e-Bird monitoring.  See their website for more information.
