Hello Firstname

Wednesday 1 March
Next Wednesday we have a visit from Janet Haines ARPS DPAGB EFIAP when she will be presenting her talk called Prince & Paupers (Prints & Paper!). Janet is from Portishead but moved to Holland following her retirement; at present she is doing a tour of SW camera clubs. You can read all about Janet and see some of her work by visiting her website by clicking here.

Would members please note: at present the camera used to reproduce prints on the two large side monitors is broken, as a result of which I suggest you clean your glasses (if worn) before the meeting starts!

Sad News
Many members will have known David Cantrille from Dorchester CC. Sadly, last Wednesday, David succumbed to the cancer that has dogged him for the last few years. Mary, his widow, tells me that “David died peacefully at home on Wednesday night. It was a quick decline at the end”
A sad loss to photography and to all those who knew him

Trumpet Blowers' Corner
Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
