CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY
SUNDAY MARCH 6TH 2005
SCOTLAND ISLAND RESIDENTS NEEDED TO HELP
PUT RUBBISH AWAY FOR GOOD

Scotland Island residents are being called to volunteer to help Put Rubbish Away for Good in our country's biggest environmental community event, Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 6 March.

Now in its 16th year, Clean Up Australia needs your help to target rubbish that continues to clog our beaches, parks, roadsides, bushland and waterways.

Clean Up Australia Chairman and Founder, Ian Kiernan AO, says that as long as rubbish continues to to turn up in the environment we must continue to clean it up.

"Clean Up Australia Day is a fantastic example of how the individual action of many can affect great change in communities around Australia. Participating is easy, fun and anyone can help" Ian said.
" The day is everyone's chance to take responsibility over where they live and to make an instant difference to the environment. So get together with neighbours, friends and family and help 'Put Rubbish Away for Good"
