VIDEO CLIP OF THE MONTH! - This month's clip is from May 21, 2009.

This is the 7-piece performing at PUCK in Doylestown, PA. This is an excerpt from the show that later became one of our favorite live CDs. The song is called "Senorita Dance" and I wrote it back in 1985. It was one of the first original songs ever played by The Mighty Manatees. Originally called "Dance, Amigo, Dance", it has gone on to be one of our most played originals and has been performed in a number of different ways including a bossa nova version, and a version with a 3 piece horn section.

This version features (from left to right):

Jason Crosby - keys
Will Hodgson - vocals/slide guitar
Jim Cavanaugh - drums
Kathleen Weber - vocals/tambourine
Randy Wagner - vocals/bass
Chris DelSordo - tenor sax
Walter Tates Jr. - tenor sax

Special thanks to Mike Lightkep and Slacker. https://youtu.be/Ht1MDtRISEg

MORE QUOTES - "We quote, you decide."

"The function of art and all creative thought is to make us aware of what we know and don't know we know." - William S. Burroughs

"Down in their hearts, wise men know this truth: the only way to help yourself is to help others." - Elbert Hubbard

"There are three requirements for a happy life. The first is having someone to love, the second is having something to look forward to, and the third is having something to do." - Elvis Presley

"The guilty dog barks the loudest." - old American saying

"I believe in all things in moderation - including moderation." - Lou Reed

"Many things are happening." - Fiona Hodgson

Well, that's all the hot, humid, summer news for now. Many thanks to our friends and fanatees for all their love and support during these trying times.

Please stay smart and safe.
