This month will be our 3rd off-site, outdoor event in a row.  We really took advatage of the warm weather this year!

 

This month's event, however, will be our first foray into colaborating with a festival.  Though the Root River Festival will be going all day from 2-10pm, BONK! will be sponsoring it by having various local musicians playing shows throughout the day.  Most notably, in the 6-6:45 timeslot, Racine homeboy Everett Thomas will be joining BONK! again. 

 

 

 

Everett played BONK! 4 years ago and has been living in Madison since.  We're very excited to have him back for this special event, so be sure not to miss it.

For the rest of tthe Root River Festival, though, expect more great music, Mexican horse dancing, bouncy houses, a petting zoo, food vendors, a panel discussion series and just a good time all around for Racinians of all ages!

--the new poet's & writer's group based out of the Racine Public Library.  We'll be meeting again next Thursday from 6-7:30pm.  The Wordshop now has a Facebook page (Like it!), a Facebook group (Join it!) and even an e-mail listserv.  If you'd like to be included on the listserv, please just send an e-mail to rpl.wordshop@gmail.com saying so.  If you're a poet, writer or other type of artist, no matter how experienced (or inexperienced) you may be, please come check out The Wordshop and see what you have to add!
