WOWW! EXTRA Edition September 10, 2014

WOWW! EXTRA Edition -
CELEBRATE LIFE EVENT

September 12 event, to benefit the Multi-County Cancer Support Network, will be held in Winchester, TN. Winchester is a couple of hours southeast of Nashville.

Country Music Recording Artist Wade Hayes will perform and share his story of being a cancer survivor on September 12 at Noon at The Oasis Steakhouse in Winchester, TN. Diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer which had spread to his liver, Wade underwent 8 hours of surgery in December of 2011. Six months of intense chemotherapy followed. In January 2013, cancer cells were again present in a small group of lymph nodes. After 6 more months of chemotherapy, he again underwent surgery. While undergoing chemotherapy, he wrote "Is It Already Time?" This single explores the powerful emotions he had when he was given the devastating diagnosis.  Now cancer free, Wade credits prayers and members of the excellent Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center Staff for helping him beat the very bad odds this disease dealt him. His latest song, “Go Live Your Life,” has become his anthem for life. The song is based on a comment by his oncologist. On the day that tests showed that Wade had moved from being a cancer victim to being a cancer survivor, Dr. Berlin advised him, "Go Live Your Life."

This is a free event and The Oasis will donate a percentage of all Buffet meals sold that day from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network.  Wade will also participate in the annual MCCSN Walk-a-thon that night by performing and walking the Survivor Lap. If you want to join “Team Go Live Your Life,” you may sign up at the MCCSN Office at 110 E. Lauderdale Street, Tullahoma, TN or download the Team Form at www.mccsn.org.  The cost is $50 per walker and checks should be made payable to MCCSN.
