We're excited to share this "Idea of the Week", submitted by either the MAiZE staff or one of your fellow siteowners. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.
Farm Fresh Donuts & Other 2010 Food Trends...

This week's message comes from Katrina Schumacher at Westview Orchards in Michigan. In sharing what foods sell well for them, Katrina listed donuts top on her list and shared the link to the following article that backs that up...

"What’s an orchard, or any farm with a market, without donuts??  Once we got into it, it was a lot easier to do than anticipated. One important lesson learned is that demand will grow astronomically if you strictly sell fresh donuts...never day-olds."

While donuts are indeed a hot seller for many, there are many other profitable food options as well. Some of the recent trends in food were shared at this past IAAPA conference in Florida. To view the 2010 Food Trends report for the Theme Park industry, CLICK HERE.

Tell Us What You Want to Know
To help us generate food survey data specific to us, next week we'll be emailing out a link to a quick food-related survey within the MAiZE family. Before we send it out, we want to make sure it asks everything you're wanting to know.

Please take a moment to email kamille@themaize.com and let us know any questions you'd like to see included on the survey.
