Town Council Work Session

The Town Council will hold a work session Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 7:00 PM to discuss the town budget.

Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend.

Boy Scout Holiday Flag Fund Raiser

You have probably noticed the many flags in front of Huntsville homes during several national and state holidays.  As I traveled through Huntsville on Memorial day, I was impressed to see so many flags.

I don't have all the details, but I believe the donation is $30 for six holidays and the flags are placed early in the morning and retired in the evening.  The donation goes to a very good cause - the local Boy Scouts of America troops.  Since Memorial day has passed, I bet they will pro rate the remaining holidays if you wish.

If you would like a flag placed in front of your home starting on Flag Day (June 14th), please call Daxton Sorensen at 745-0945.

Note: Neither Daxton nor his father directly benefit from the sale of the flags as all proceeds go to the troop and there is no incentive to individual scouts.

July 4th Update

Volunteers to work in the new, well insulated and cool, "Ice Shack" are needed.  We need anyone who would be willing to work an hour or two selling soda, candy, t-shirts, etc. throughout the day.  It is only an hour or two, so please help if you can.

That’s all for now, have a great week.

Sincerely,

Richard L. Sorensen
