NEW BODY & POLE ART GALLERY: CRISTIAN BUITRON

Cristian Buitron is originally from Quito, Ecuador and currently lives in Glen Cove, NY. His photography captures the movement of athletes, gymnasts, contortionists, dancers, yoginis, and aerialists.
Cristian was a gymnast for 20 years. A 5-time Ecuadorian national champion and currently a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teacher and fighter. It is that experience with sports that helps him with his photographic timing.
Cristian has a degree in Neurobiology and worked as a brain research scientist for years in NYC finding himself drawn back to his love for movement photography.

Our work-study of the month for June is Neumy! Whether it's his shift or he is just in between classes, he is ALWAYS making sure Body & Pole is spotless and running as smoothly as possible. On top of that he is always being extra polite to clients and co-workers alike, PLUS he shares his snacks! To thank Neumy for helping make Body & Pole such a great place, we are rewarding him with a private lesson with the instructor of his choice. Thanks Neumy!!!

Back for the fourth time, Dangerous Curves is the biggest, baddest, most awesome plus size pole competition in the country! Competitors are coming to the Lower East Side to battle on the pole. A panel of judges will pick the top three competitors, but it's up to the crowd to pick the most dangerously curvy dancer of the night!
And yes...the infamous audience TWERKOFF is coming back, too!
