Here we are again with our (not so) montly newsletter ... we skipped the March news letter because ... it was STILL to f*cking cold!!! :p
This Saturday (12.04) we have A Split-Second + The Juggernauts playing the sympathetic Barock in the historical city of Bruges, Belgium! Since it's going to be a bright sunny day it the perfect city trip to do this weekend!
We also happy to announce the dates for BIMFEST 20215, which will be held on 19+20 December this year, and EBM DAY 2026 that will happen on Saturday 21 February 2026!

Saturday 12th April. EBM evening in the Barock in Bruges with 2 leading band from the Belgian underground scene in concert. Founded in 1985, A SPLIT SECOND is one of the pioneers of EBM music. Their role in the development of this genre of music in the 80s is well known. Their single ‘Flesh’ is often credited as the late 80s precursor to New Beat. This track was played by DJs in the kingdom's biggest nightclubs, but at a slower tempo. This mix of EBM, Acid and House music gave birth to New Beat. Which makes A SPLIT SECOND a historic band. Its industrial rhythms and dark melodies gave EBM a real identity in the world of electronic music.
Founded in 2010, The Juggernauts are known for their hard-hitting EBM sound. Contemporary EBM with industrial elements. In the spirit of Front 242. Renowned in the world of EBM for regenerating the genre's renaissance, without becoming nostalgic, but bringing a new dynamic to the game.

On Saturday April 26th 2025 we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Dark Balloon with a blast. As from 14h, we start with a record fair.
At 17h30 we will screen the Electronic Body Movie exclusively in Belgium. In this documentary footages and interviews with DAF, Front 242, The Neon Judgement, Nitzer Ebb, A Split-Second and many others. Followed by a short Q&A with Marc Ickx (A Split-Second), Patrick Codenys (Front 242) and Wolfgang Flür (Ex-Kraftwerk) and others. Afterwards you will see live performances of Wolfgang Flür (Musiksoldat), Dirk Ivens (plays the best of, The Klinik, Dive, Sonar) and A Split-Second. We will close the evening with a DJ set by Patrick Codenys (Front 242) and our THeDARkONe
