AWESOME REVIEW OF THE SINGLES - SEASON 2!
Brian Baker (writer for Blurt and othe fine pubs) said this about The Singles - Season 2: "...any sounds that can be attributed to Kicksville are among the most fascinatingly original that are being foisted upon an unsuspecting world."

[BTW, we know we're not supposed to believe the hype, but getting mentioned in the same breath as Edgard Varese and Frank Zappa is pretty damn cool!]

The City Council has arrived in Madison from various far-flung locations. The new songs have been rehearsed. The new video track is playing nicely with its timecode. The Mayor is furiously programming the last of the lighting cues as this is written. Enter the Flavor Hut: Remasters+ is mastered and pressed. And, it looks like the weather gods may smile on us....

So, now that's all taken care of, here's the final guest list for the Viaduct show: Our featured vocalist and Evil Temptress will be the amazing Georgina McKee. Her extensive theatrical background and work with groups like Bunny Gumbo has definitely prepared her for her starring role as Candy. We'll have artwork by Andy Ewen and resident artist Tone Deaf hanging all over the venue (and for sale, by the way). Malian ngoni virtuoso Tani Diakite will be starting off the night accompanied by Djam Vivie, Ghanaian percussionist and drum maker. MIDI wizard and live electronics guru Ben Surman (John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette) will be taking care of the house mix and joining us onstage throughout the night. And, maybe if we nag him enough, our very own Minister of Propaganda, Perry Serpa, will come up and help us out on Once in a Lifetime.

And last but definitely not least, thanks to our friends at Zombie Army Productions, there will be zombies! Everybody likes zombies, right????

Got Art?
Got any extraneous bits of weird shite knocking around your house?
Doll parts?
Broken CDs?
Old drum heads or guitar strings?
Toys your kids won't play with anymore?

Bring it all to the gig and give it to Tone Deaf - he'll make it into art during the show! Really.... You'd be amazed (and possibly horrified) what Tone is able to use in his artwork. So bring it on, and turn the useless into, well, something else useless but much cooler ;-)

Enter the Flavor Hut: Remasters+
To celebrate the opening of our Chicago run, we will be releasing a special two-disc version of our debut album, Enter the Flavor Hut. Since these upcoming shows are our first expedition to the The Windy City, we thought it would be a good way to introduce Chicago to the story of Bob, Candy, and Johnny.
Disc 1 contains the original tracks, lovingly re-mastered by Jay Frigoletto at MASTERsuite. Disc 2 contains live versions of the songs, plus a couple of bonus live tracks not on Enter the Flavor Hut or available anywhere else. We will not be releasing this digitally - it will only be for sale at the Chicago-area performances!

More to come....
