TSE All-Share Index
The TSE All-Share Index ended lower today, closing down 2.54% at 108,694. The majority of sectors dropped. The top performing sector was Machinery & Electric Equipment (+0.77%) boosted by Shahid Ghandi Corporation Complex (KGND +4.26%) and Pars Switch Co. (SWIC +4.99%). The weakest sector of the day was Industrial Conglomerates (-4.21%) with drops across the sector. Base Metals (-4.05%) posted the highest turnover with IRR 1,016 billion (approx. USD 23.8 million) in trades. The All-Share Index was impacted most by Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Co. (FOLD -4.32%), National Iranian Copper Industries Co. (MSMI -4.67%) and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (PKLJ -2.48%). The highest trading volume was posted by Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Co. (FOLD -4.32%) with IRR 480 billion (approx. USD 11.2 million) of trades. The market’s total traded value increased 31.5% to IRR 3,815 billion (approx. USD 90 million).
TSE30 Index
The TSE30 index of the thirty largest companies by market capitalization closed down 3.45% at 5,280. Telecommunication Company of Iran (MKBT +0.21%) rose the most, while Jam Petrochemical Co. (PJMZ -4.99%) was the weakest in the top 30s. Total traded value of the top 30s added 45.7% to IRR 1,828 billion (approx. USD 42.9 million).
