You haven’t heard from us for a while – for nearly three months now – so we thought it was about time we brought you up to date with our plans. Even though the current weather looks like we’re still in the middle of winter, we do trust that spring is on its way. This is because on 3 April the builders will be back to start on the next level of the Prayer House (!)
Some of you might remember from our last newsletter in December that we thought the building work for stage 2 (ground floor) might resume in May or early June. Well…… I guess God has a different plan!
At the beginning of February, He suddenly gave us the green light to start building again. So we met with the builder to finalise the costs, and he agreed to start immediately after Easter on 3 April – which is now just a few weeks away! The work will last about 2 months depending on the weather, and if all goes well the ground floor of the Prayer House will be finished by the beginning of June. This will be the walls, ceilings and stairs, and will bring the building up to around 4.5 metres above ground level.
At the moment we don’t know when to start stage 3 (top floor and roof). We would love it to be built this year (wouldn’t that be amazing!) but we need to hear from heaven first and then step out in obedience. Please pray that we would get the timing right.
A couple of weeks ago the materials started to arrive. Here’s a photo taken from our balcony, where you can see a lot of pallets with red porcelain blocks that will be used to build the walls.
