If you imagine yourself entering at the steps at the bottom of the diagram, you’ll find yourself in a hallway that’s almost 4 metres wide. Immediately on the right is a cloakroom for coats and shoes followed by toilets, including one for the disabled. On the left there is an office. In the hallway you can see the stairs going up to the prayer room and at the back of the stairs is a door to more stairs that go down into the basement.

If you walk through the hallway to the end there are double doors into a large room where people can relax and share. Here there are 3 large windows overlooking the gates of Auschwitz-Birkenau and 2 sets of double doors on the right that lead onto the terrace and the garden.

The large room has a folding partition (dividing) wall to make the room more versatile, so we have the option to have one large open plan room or two smaller cosier rooms, separating the dining room and kitchen from the lounge.

The Prayer House has been designed to accommodate groups of up to 50 people. On the outside it will look like a normal Polish house and on the inside it will be more like a “prayer home” where the Father can spend time with His children. He said He would draw people from all over the world to worship and pray in this place of death, and we're beginning to see this as we meet people from many different nations. His purpose here is to establish a 24/7 prayer and worship altar that will release His life and manifest His Kingdom on the earth.

We'll let you know the layout of the top floor when we get to build it. Watch this space!

Finally, God has been speaking to us a lot about REST recently - about HIS rest and learning to rest IN Him, i.e. having rest on the inside. I'm not going to share all He's been showing us because it would turn this letter into a massive teaching blog. But God spoke something through Cathy the other day and it got our attention. He said, "This Prayer House will be birthed out of God's rest". We had to think about this!

What we felt was that God's plans and purposes are always born on the earth. They don't just happen as a result of human effort. They are born, birthed out of heaven, the place of rest. So the Prayer House (and all the Father wants to bring through it) is like a baby He is bringing to birth. It's connected to heaven via an umbilical cord and He's watching His word to perform it. So we don't have to strive to make this happen. The Lord is going to make it happen and we get to serve and work alongside Him. We can enter His rest. It's not by might nor by power but by His Spirit.
