Report from the Basement!
As everyone who is anyone knows, the Tricks band long ago decided to forego rehearsing throughout the year, and instead we have two months of hardcore winter rehearsals. We usually learn 15 to 20 songs. This year we learned 15, actually dropping a few that didn't make the cut these past few rehearsal nights. Filed for the future.
What new songs?We are happy to bring an eclectic mix of new tunes to the Tricks repertoire; songs from John Cougar, ZZ Top, Poison, Bonnie Raitt, Talking Heads, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Grand Funk, Sister Hazel, Jackyl, Alice Cooper, Pretenders, Trapeze, and Grace Potter!    
Coming Out Party!
We're always anxious to finish touching up our new tunes in the basement,
and start refining our songs in the alchemist's crucible of a live show.

•  Mar 6 & 7 - Tricks at Jakes in Dorr 
Here's the scoop: Tricks did a Halloween weekend at Jakes last year, not really intending to book there regularly after that one "welcome to the neighborhood" weekend (Jake's is right across the street from Dick's Market, the Dutkiewicz family store). For some reason, we missed the boat booking at AJ's, and have no future dates there. So, Jake's was happy to give us several weekends in 2015, including New Year's Eve.
Jake's has great food, a very friendly staff, nice newly remodeled room with great dancefloor. And you can't beat the early hours - 8pm to midnight. Lots of you old farts will get a chance to see what happens during our last sets, when the heavy head-banging hits come out to play.Please Like Jake's on Facebook, to welcome them to Tricks Country. .....
  • Mar 13 & 14, 20 & 21 - Allegan 31st annual Cabaret Band Show
All proceeds benefit Wings Of Hope Hospice
Rick is playing in the Cabaret band and Krystal is singing. We have one big number in the show, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers "Islands In The Stream". But Krys sings lots of back-up vocals and Rick is playing guitar for most numbers - about 33 songs altogether.
