Please join Audubon and Blue Water Baltimore for a workshop on best practices for engaging your community in painting storm drains. This is an education tool to let passers-by know that everything that enters our storm drains makes its way to the Chesapeake Bay, without filtration. Hope to see you Wednesday evening!

Where the North and South Branches of the Patapsco meet is a special
place for birds and wildflowers. In fact, it's a Important Bird Area, so
designated by Audubon Maryland DC. We'll hike about 3 miles over rocky,
hilly, muddy trail to see who is about at a time when many birds are fledging
and summer wildflowers are in bloom. To register, please email Bryan

Saturday, June 16, 8:30-11 AM – Bird Banding for Kids, with Patterson Park
Children ages 6 – 12 are invited to join Audubon and the Smithsonian for
science in action in this Baltimore City Park. Experts will carefully catch,
band, and release birds for a scientific study of urban species. Our
community’s participation this day and afterward will contribute to real
scientific data about birds in cities. Activities include fun, educational games.
It’s a team effort to study and save birds. This program is free but

Sat., June 16, 5:30PM, Tour, Toast, and Taste - Pickering Creek Audubon Center - A 30th Year Celebration!
Pickering Creek Audubon Center will host the fifth Tour, Toast & Taste at Lombardy in Easton this June. The evening begins as you drive down a long tree lined lane. Arriving at the home, you will enter to learn about the history of the home and some of its special features and stories from docents and our hosts Missy & Joe Walsh. Guests will exit the house to enjoy the stunning waterfront view, and hear the sounds of Ken & Brad Kolodner of Otter Creek. Delectable wines and delicious hors d’ouevres will be available under the tent, guests can purchase a wide variety of intriguing dinners and unique events offered by community leaders who support Pickering Creek Audubon Center's efforts on the Mid-Shore to connect people with nature.
