RANGER REPORT - June 1, 2011
The legendary Commander Cody will be joining The Mighty Manatees for
their last set tomorrow night, Thursday, June 2nd, at the Rising Sun in Telford,
PA www.risingsuninn.net . The Commander will be arriving around midnight,
right after his show at The Sellersville Theater. George Frayne AKA
Commander Cody is also a gifted visual artist. Check out his amazing book, "Art, Music &
Life", from Q Book Press www.qualibreinc.com. (I'm bringing my copy to be
autographed.)
This Friday, June 3rd, The Mighty Manatees electric band returns to
Ringers in Schwenksville, PA. www.RingersBar.com. We start rockin' at around
10:00PM.
Next Friday, June 10th, it's another Tex-Mex Outdoor Tiki-Bar All-Ages
Fundraiser in North Wales, PA www.TexMexConnection.com . Last month's
Cinco De Mayo show drew almost 2000 people! The Manatee insanity starts at
5:00PM.
The next day, Saturday, June 11th, finds us back down on Market St. in
Philadelphia, PA between 11th & 13th Ave. where we are playing a free
afternoon outdoor street concert. The music starts at 1:00PM.
On Tuesday, June 21st, (the longest day of the year), The Mighty
Manatees will play a free evening outdoor show in White's Road Park, Lansdale, PA.
Seniors, children and pets are welcome. The music begins at 7:00PM. Special
thanks to Carl Saldutti and the Lansdale Parks & Recreation Dept.
Hockey Fun Fact: Did you know that the Atlanta Thrashers are moving to

Last week's Bob Dylan 70th Birthday Celebration went off splendidly.
"The harder they come, the bigger they splash". Next year we will have it on the
SATURDAY of the Memorial Day weekend...Special thanks to John & Trish.
And speaking of Dylan...my daughter Juliana just created a Dylan
facebook page called "Dylanthropology", which has been getting a lot of activity
recently. I found stuff I'd never seen, read or heard before. YesireeBob!
Manatees world beat drummer Andy Vernon sat in on percussion with the
band last Friday night at the East End Ale House in Salford, PA and brought the
house down! These days Andy plays mostly with the acclaimed Philadephia drum
