September 10
Last, but not least, don't forget about our 10 year anniversary sale coming up on September 10th.  We're planning for this to be our biggest celebration yet, with carnival themed decor and activities.  We're dyeing up 100 skeins of a luxury fingering weight yarn as well as 20 mini-skein gradient packs and 10 4oz braids of luxury spinning fiber.  These will be on sale for $10 during our celebration with a limit of one each per crafter.  Watch our facebook page and your e-mail inbox for more details.

New In The Shop

Malabrigo's new yarn, Caracol, is here!  It's 90 yards and 150 grams of super soft superwash merino. It looks like stained glass when knit up and looks great in plain stockinette.  The quantity we have is limited for now since the yarn is new and in demand, we won't be able to get any more for a little while.

We found a dad and son duo at the yarn show in June that dye some of the most beautiful colorways!  We got two types of yarn from them.  The first is Silk Traveler (pictured above), a fingering weight single-ply blend of 30% silk and 70% superwash merino with 438 yards per 100g.  Silk Traveler will make beautiful shawls, scarves or cowls.  The second is Rockshelter Sock (pictured below), a fingering weight, two-ply 100% superwash merino yarn with 400 yards per 100g.  Rockshelter sock is great for socks, but also for other fingering weight projects like hats, shawls or scarves.

We have a fresh order of Madeline Tosh with 16 new colors of Tosh Merino Light, 6 new colors of Tosh Sock and a couple new colors of Prairie.  We also have eight colors of Tosh Vintage, a worsted weight, 4-ply, 100% superwash merino yarn with 200 yards per 4oz. skein.  It's very similar to Malabrigo Rios and the two would combine well for striping or colorwork.

We also have new felt notions bags and mini-skein packs from Frabjous Fibers including the giant So Fond of Rainbows pack with 20 mini skeins in a beautiful rainbow gradient.  We have a few colorways in a new yarn from them, Queen of Hearts, which is a luxury sock weight blend of 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon, there's 5 mini skeins with a total of 510 yards per 5oz.  We also have a couple of their full-skein gradient packs.  These packs feature 5 skeins of sportweight superwash merino for a total of 1724 yards and 20oz of yarn.  These large gradient packs are perfect for sweaters or blankets.

We've added Anzula's Squishy, a fingering weight blend of 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon with 385 yards per 100g skein.  It's great for socks or shawls and it combines well with Zen Yarn Garden's Serenity 20.  We also have some new colors in Anzula Haiku.

Yarn of the Month
Koigu KPPPM is a fabulous fingering weight yarn sold in 50g skeins with 175 yards of 100% superwash merino per skein.  Koigu is renowned for it's vibrant hand painted colorways.  This yarn is great for any fingering weight project from socks to shawls to sweaters.  We've used it to knit up the Leyburn Socks, Fine and Dandy Socks and Hitchiker.  Plus, we now have Koigu mini skeins which are perfect for scrappy sock project, bee keepers, heels and toes or baby booties!
