Here are 3 announcements.

1.) Come see Chef Kris speak and cook on stage at THE TASTE, Flavors of L.A., hosted by Jonathan Gold, Evan Kleiman and The Los Angeles Times, Sunday September 2, 1:30 pm at Paramount Studios.
 
 
Asked to comment on his appearance, Chef Kris offered the following:
 
"Although I possess neither Susan Feniger's million dollar smile nor Ludo's charisma, I will try my hardest to keep things interesting with a few words on Nam Prik--what it is, how to prepare it and why it makes our lives better. I have never done a demo (for anyone other than my mom) and am nervously bracing for a disaster on the scale of David Brent's failed campaign as a motivational speaker."

2.) On Thursday September 6, NIGHT + MARKET is popping up at City Grit NYC, the culinary salon / underground supperclub masterminded by FOOD & WINE's Home Cook Superstar, Sarah Simmons. Past and future chefs include, Tien Ho of Momofuku and April Bloomfield of The Spotted Pig. Tell your New York friends, or buy tickets if you're gonna be there!

 

 
 
 
3.) Saturday, September 8 on Randall's Island, NYC, Chef Kris will be cooking 600 lbs of pork at Josh Ozersky's MEATOPIA, which Ozersky describes as an 'open bar of meat.' Everyone is excited about this.

 
4.) Starting next Monday, August 27, we will be closed on Mondays.
 
Chef Kris says, "It's the only civilized thing to do. I used to think going 7 days a week was no big deal, but then we actually started having customers and not having a day off got old, fast. The quality of food is also sure to go up those remanining 6 days."
