In The News...

Here is some great advice from Lori's Dayton Daily News articles about how to help your parents downsize their homes.
Giving Empowers...

Is your closet overflowing with work clothing you don’t wear anymore?  Wish you had more room in your closet?

Donate your unwanted business attire to “Clothes That Work,” a non-profit organization that provides professional clothing to those in need.  Your donations help empower their clients by providing valuable interview and workplace appropriate clothing.

For a complete list of the clothing and accessories they need, go to www.clothesthatwork.org.

Cluttered Closets No More...

As you are changing out your seasonal clothes in your closet this year, use these Seven Guidelines to help you decide what clothes you can eliminate.

Donate or dispose of the following:
  • Stained, Musty or Ripped
  • You No Longer Love It
  • Haven’t Worn in the Last Year
  • Hasn’t Fit in the Last Year
  • Itches, Scratches or Pinches
  • No Longer Fits Your Lifestyle
  • The Fashion Trend Has Passed
Using these simple Seven Guidelines will have you cleaning out your closet in no time!

Just Hit Reply...

Do you have a group or organization that is looking for gently used donations from the community?

'Just Hit Reply' and let us know the details.  We might feature them in our monthly newsletter.

One More Thing...

Have trouble getting your children to write thank-you notes for the gifts they receive?  Don’t let them play with the toy or cash the check until the note is written.  Sometimes a little motivation is all they need.

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.  ~ William Arthur Ward

May the good things of life be yours in abundance,
not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year,
