Isaiah 6:3 Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM ISAIAH'S VISION? (2)

We learn that our God is Holy. Our God is without sin, perfect and pure. He does not make mistakes. He does not play favorites. He doesn't wink at sin. He is Holy.

We are reminded that our God is Triune -- three in one. When the word "holy" is repeated three times, it serves not only to emphasize the fact that God is Holy, but also to call to mind what the Scripture says about God's nature. The Scripture teaches that there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), while also teaching that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God's Word is true and without error, so we accept what God has revealed and conclude that there is one God who is three persons.

We notice that our GOD is called the LORD of Hosts. We call the President of the United States the Commander in Chief because he is the leader of the United States Armed Forces. Our God is called the LORD of Hosts because he is the supreme commander of the heavenly host, the angel armies. While earthly governments may change and empires fall, our LORD is and will always be the highest authority and power. We have no doubt that He is kindly disposed to us because that title "LORD of Hosts" is not only applied in Scripture to the Trinity -- but also to the second Person of the Godhead in particular, by whose life and death we are restored to God's own family.
