November 2013
Simple. Organized. Life-Changing.
Forte Organizers helps individuals and families stay organized at home, as well as teaching business people organization skills at work.
In the News...

You may find these three articles published in Lori’s Dayton Daily News column helpful if you plan to get organized.
Time to shred...

Employees send outdated paperwork and other documents to the archive room at their company and it’s often forgotten. Over the years employees continue to add to the stockpile and soon the archive room is overflowing and disorganized.

The next time you send boxes to storage, determine when the paperwork inside can be destroyed and label the date on the box. Now others who organize the archive room know when the contents of those boxes can be shredded.

This month's tip...

This month’s tip comes from our reader Janine Kinnison.

Save time, money, and the earth’s resources during the holidays by using large, reusable cloth drawstring bags to ‘wrap’ your loved ones gifts in instead of wrapping them individually with wrapping paper. Use material in a different holiday print for each loved one.

Janine started with a larger bag (3’ x 4’) when her kids were younger and gifts were bulky. Once her children reached the teenage years, she cut off the bottom of the bag and re-sewed it to make them smaller.

If you don’t sew, hire a friend who does to make the bags for you.

How will you spend the extra hours saved by not wrapping every item individually and then cleaning up wrapping paper and ribbons?

Thanks Janine for sharing this great time-saving tip.

Keep your favorite organizing tips coming. If you have an organizing tip you’d like to share, I’d love to pass it along to our readers. Please send your tip to Lori@ForteOrganizers.com. If your tip gets featured, I’ll be sure to credit your name.
