Wow - they actually let us on the telly! At the end of February, we taped 2 half-hour segments for Urban Theater, a live music performance/interview TV show (sort of a regional "Later With Jools Holland" kinda thing). The show features the first-ever performance of Radiation Emanates From the Box, and includes guest appearances by Andy Ewen, Geoff Brady, and violinist extraordinaire, Randal Harrison.

Part 1 will premiere Friday, March 18, and Part 2 on Friday, March 25. Check your local TV schedule for times and re-run dates. If you're not in the Midwest or you just can't wait, we've uploaded six of the songs to our Youtube page HERE. You can also download free MP3s from the LIVE page on kicksville.com. Yeah, yeah...we know we said Season 4 would start March 1, but there have been some unavoidable production delays. So, y'all will just have to wait until June - we promise it will be worth the wait! Till then, you've got all those new videos and free MP3s from the Urban Theater show to keep you company ;-)

Oh, and remember those scratch mixes we posted for y'all in the last newsletter? There's a new version of Woof Woof for your aural pleasure.... It includes all the final, edited tracks and will be the last scratch version we'll do before the final mix, so check it out HERE

We've been nominated in multiple categories for the Madison Area Music Awards! If you'd like to vote for us, go to themamas.org and sign up. There's a $5 fee, but the money goes directly to the Madison Area Music Association, a non-profit whose "mission is to put musical instruments in kids’ hands and to fund music education programs for Madison-area youths." So, you get to help us AND help keep music education alive! Actually, the awards part is a bit beside the point for us - anything that helps fund music programs for kids is OK in our book....

If you watch the video from the Urban Theater taping, you'll notice that we're all wearing union logos.... With everything that's been going on in Madison, we thought it was important to show our support. If you haven't been following the fight against Governor Walker or the national media blackout has you confused, we'll sum it up for you: It's not about one state governor and labor issues in Wisconsin. The real issue at stake here is the widening gap between the rich and the poor and the corporate avarice blanketing our lives. There were over 150,000 people at the Capitol last weekend (even the fire fighters and police have joined the protesters), and the demonstrations are only going to grow.
