Planetary Outlook Newsletter & Horoscopes, May 2015
Message from Joe...
Hi Friends,
Another dynamic an interesting month ahead as the radiant Sun and self-assertive Mars continue to transit determined Taurus until May 21st.  We begin the month with a powerful Scorpio Full Moon on May 3rd asking us to look deep within our psyche and figure out what we really want and what we don’t. This lunation will be squaring philosophical Jupiter and we may find ourselves rethinking every small detail of our lives.

On May 7th the goddess of love, Venus, moves into the sign of home and hearth, Cancer, bringing us closer to family and enjoying quality time at home. Cancer is a sensitive, caring sign, a sign where the Venusian energy is easily expressed. Empathy comes freely and there is a real desire to provide nourishment to those around you. We’ll have plenty of opportunity to voice our opinions on May 11th when aggressive Mars enters talkative Gemini. Mars in the mutable air sign of Gemini brings a lot of energy and/or hostility to the world of words. Mutable means changeable, flexible…and Gemini loves change. If curiosity ever killed a cat, it was a Gemini cat. Or maybe Gemini is a cat.

At any rate, messenger Mercury will turn retrograde once again on May 18th slowing things down a bit for some serious regrouping. Its reversal can usher in a time of putting it all down in writing. This is a period of needing to mull things over, review, to contemplate what you're doing and what you want to accomplish. You need time to think about things in a quiet place, without interruptions. Fortunately, the Taurus New Moon on May 17th will help to stabilize some of our thinking by taking us back to the basics. This lunation will help to slow down the energy level as we mull over more practical concerns of living and life. This earthy moon propels us to work hard but at the end of the day, still wants us to take it easy and enjoy some of our hard earned resources.

On May 21st the majestic Sun moves into the mutable, air sign of Gemini, which is ruled by the planet Mercury, its energy is flexible, quick, and filled with curiosity. When the life-giving forces of the Sun shine through Gemini, we get the incessant questions of the young child who wants to know everything there is to know, and whose mind soaks up the answers like a sponge.

Speaking of knowing….By now I’m sure many of you are aware of the Baltimore protests/riots going on…but are you aware of a “Military Training Exercise” called Jade Helm? This scheduled “drill” will take in place in July throughout the southwest region of the US. If you’re not informed about this so called “drill”, I would suggest Googling it so you can get you up to speed. The reason I bring this up is because the planets are indicting a major change that will take place beginning this summer. It all starts with the planet Venus, which represents money, partnerships and resources going retrograde on July 25th until September 6th.

When Venus is retrograde, it provides lessons in evaluating the real worth and value of people and things in our life (Taurus-Libra issues). With existing relationships, this cycle produces experiences wherein it is easier to discern the relative worth and value and resources of these people in your life. Discrimination is more effective. You become readily aware of any problems, differences or unresolved issues. Also, varies ancient cultures viewed the planet Venus as disaster-bringer, especially when retrograde, this was apparent in Mesoamerica, where the observation and veneration of Venus amounted to a collective obsession. For the Aztecs and Maya alike, the heliacal rise of Venus was an occasion of ominous portents marked by dread and hysteria.

If you’ve been following the “Real” news from alternative sources on the internet, then you know our government has been preparing for some sort of change to take place. In recent years the U.S. government has been making massive preparations. They’ve been stockpiling food, riot gear, automatic weapons and billions of rounds of ammunition. While no one in Federal emergency planning services is talking any specifics, recent exercises over American cities and military training simulations all suggest that whatever it is that the government is preparing for is a very serious affair. So I say to you my friends, get informed now and research what I’m saying for yourselves and prepare with some extra food and supplies before this fall, Remember, NO FEAR, just smart preparation.

New Moon Outlook-April/May 2015

Monthly Horoscopes...
May Monthly Horoscopes

Aries- Your focus will be on finances this month Aries, as the creative Sun, and your ruling planet, ambitious Mars, continues to transit Taurus and your second house of Income and Resources. Your financial picture has been quite inspiring the past few weeks as ideas and opportunities continue to percolate in your fertile mind. Messenger Mercury entered its home sign of Gemini and your third house of Communication on April 30th, suggesting this month will be filled with all kinds of mental possibilities and social endeavors. Over the course of May, three planets will be passing through chatty Gemini and your solar third house. In a nutshell, you have been astrologically scheduled to have some more wonderful encounters with fun and interesting people. However, on May 3rd a deep psychological Full Moon in Scorpio will highlight your eighth house of Shared Resources and Transformation. This lunation will draw your attention to financial obligations, bank accounts, and even emotional romantic unions. Expansive Jupiter will be squaring this Full Moon suggesting you may go over the top in these areas. Try to resist the urge to go overboard as these energies are excitable if not volatile. Your domestic life improves on May 7th when amicable Venus enters sensitive Cancer and your fourth house of Home Life. The goddess will spend most of the month in your fourth house encouraging more interaction with family members and dealing with children. Just be mindful during this transit not to overspend on new furnishings or consider dramatic remodeling. On May 11th, your ruler Mars moves into Gemini—boosting your facility for planning and thinking strategies.  This alignment can make you rather inpatient, so be wise and pay attention to what you’re doing and saying; especially when Mercury turns retrograde on May 18th in your third house of Mental Activity and Conversations.  The following day the Taurus New Moon connects you to your physical-domestic world.  This lunation will encourage you to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life. However, curiosity and creativity are part of the package when the brilliant Sun enters ingenious Gemini and your chatty third house on the May 21st.

Taurus- You feel much more empower this month Taurus, as the brilliant Sun and macho Mars transit your sign and your first house of Motivation. This energetic dynamic duo shines a spotlight on your desires to improve your life and how others see you.  In fact, you may feel a bit restless for the first six days of May as your key planet, amicable Venus, continues transiting jittery Gemini until May 7th. The goddess will then tiptoe into emotional Cancer and your third house of Communication, asking that you bring sympathy to all your conversations--and maybe even offer up a bit of your earthy, grounded TLC, helping to wipe away tears of others around you. This month’s Full Moon in Scorpio on May 3rd will set up shop in your seventh house of One-on-One Relationships. Sexy Scorpio and your sign are definitely on the same page when it comes to touching and indulging, giving you plenty of opportunity to cancel all your evening appointments and simply indulge in the company of another.  Your attention will be drawn to financial matters on May 11th when take-charge Mars enters interactive Gemini and your second house of Income and Values. This restless alignment will be activating your second house for the remainder of the month, as financial issues will preoccupy your time.  Just be mindful not to go overboard, as you may wear yourself down with exhaustion; particularly when cerebral Mercury goes retrograde on May 18th in your second house of Resources.  Delay money decisions until late June, or at least, by the time Mercury is direct once again on June 11th.  If you cannot hold off on these decisions, then double-check your paperwork before proceeding with any involvement.  On May 17th the New Moon in your sign will increase your motivation for new beginnings, encouraging you to go after what you want. You may be considering going out on your own and ditching the boss, that's fine, but make sure your new venture begins part-time as your need for financial security won't be available just yet. The brilliant Sun shifts into dualistic Gemini on May 21st, confirming the importance of making changes instead of stubbornly resisting them.

Gemini-Finding a consistent approach may not be easy this month Gemini, as you find yourself vacillating between your need for privacy and your desire for attention. The month begins with the radiant Sun in Taurus visiting your secretive twelfth house, indicating the value of escaping from people and responsibilities so that you could recharge your batteries. Yet your ruler, talkative Mercury and social Venus, continue to transit your sign and your first house of Personality making you more popular than ever. On May 3rd the Full Moon in Scorpio has you dealing with multiple tasks at work; focusing your attention on others needs, while providing you the social camaraderie with a follow co-worker.  On May 7th amicable Venus takes off for caring Cancer and your second house of Resources and Comfort. Suddenly your home and family will become more important to you than dating—and maybe even more important than your primary partner.  If you’re attached, get everyone together at your place for a home-cooked meal and some late-night chitchat around a kitchen table. Your partner will join in soon enough. You become much more determined to get your point across on May 11th when aggressive Mars enters your sign and your first house of Motivation. This transit will keep you on your toes as you find yourself more restless than normal and determine to persuade others of your perspective. Unfortunately, confusion may be a bound on May 18th when your ruler, jittery Mercury, turns retrograde in your sign and your first house of Self. During Mercury’s three week reversal it is highly advisable that you tread very cautiously, as this reversal will be poorly aligned to confusing Neptune the entire time. Your desire to be seen and heard increases on May 21st as the brilliant Sun enters Gemini and your first house of Personality and Appearance. The Sun will be joined by eager Mars and mischievous Mercury in your sign, motivating you to find some serious fun activities.  As curious and friendly as you are, there’s never a shortage of invitations in May, but over the coming months, you might actually be overbooked.

Cancer- Although you start this month with your feet on the ground Cancer, as the radiant Sun transits steady Taurus, you grow more reflective and nostalgic as the days wear on. Although your mind is on the future and your long-term goals, you may find yourself resisting change this month because of uncertainty. However, adaptability is your secret weapon in May as mental Mercury and magnetic Venus in inquisitive Gemini continue to transit your twelfth house of Soul Consciousness. On May 3rd, the Full Moon in Scorpio will highlight your fifth house of Love and Playfulness, encouraging romance, spending time with children, or focusing on a creative hobby. Your attention will be drawn to beauty and luxury on May 7th when the cosmic goddess, Venus, enters your sign and your first house of Personality and Appearance. The urge to splurge will certainly be high during this alignment, so be prepared to whip out the credit card for some increased spending. On May 11th go-getter Mars enters Gemini and your twelfth house of Privacy until June 24th. Now this is not the most inspiring transit for willpower or going after what you want. In fact, your mind can turn anti-work as you find yourself pursuing other interests such as; readings, travelling or anything related to mysticism or spiritual matters. The New Moon on May 17th will bring together the vibrant Sun and your ruling planet, the sensitive Moon herself. This astrological collision will occur in reliable Taurus and your eleventh house of Groups and Friendships. During this lunation you may find that a formerly platonic relationship has taken a decidedly different turn, or someone close to you may need a shoulder to cry on. You’ll have plenty of time to go down memory lane on May 18th when messenger Mercury in Gemini goes retrograde in your twelfth house of Past Experiences. The expressive Sun enters Gemini as well and will joins the twelfth house party on May 21st, inviting you even further into the past—the last year, or actually dragging past people or situations back into your life over the next few weeks.

Leo-You’ll be feeling a lot more optimistic about your career this month Leo, as the creative Sun continues to transit determined Taurus and your tenth house of Profession. This month with the solar spotlight shining a light on your vocation until May 21st, you are much more motivated to make things happen and to create a name for yourself. Key revelations are revealed on May 6th as very favorable alignment between your ruler, the vibrant Sun and powerful Pluto ignites your creativity with regards to your current work situation. However, the Scorpio Full Moon on May 3rd will light up your fourth house of Home and Emotions, urging you to take a close look at your domestic situation. You’ll be amazed at what you can do when you’re under a bit of pressure, just remember to stay calm and avoid any unnecessary drama. You’ll be feeling much more sensitive and reclusive on May 7th when fair-minded Venus enters protective Cancer and your twelfth house Spirituality and Privacy.  During this transit you may find yourself working alone or behind the scenes and favoring more peacefulness. Fortunately, on May 11th go-getter Mars enters talkative Gemini and your eleventh house of Groups and Friendships, presenting you with social outings, party invites or group activities that take up a lot more of your time. On May 17th the steadfast Taurus New Moon will once again highlight your tenth house of Career and Status, encouraging you with new ideas in the work place while focusing on your long-term goals. Nonetheless, the following day mental Mercury turns retrograde in your eleventh house of Hopes, Wishes and Group Activities. For the next three weeks, getting what you want or hanging out with friends could be a bit tougher than usual, so you’ll need to be patient-- which has never been your specialty. On May 21st the resilient Sun enters Gemini continuing to highlight your eleventh house Groups and Networking. The Sun will now join restless Mars accentuating the networking theme and helping you to pursue higher aspirations.  Just be mindful by the end of the month as cerebral Mercury squares nebulous Neptune which may cause confusion or delays.

Virgo- You’ll be exploring many possibilities this month Virgo, as the creative Sun in fellow earth sign, Taurus, continues to transit your ninth house of Higher Expectations. These days you are feeling quite motivated to get things done, especially in the area of your profession as your ruler, interactive Mercury, is now in Gemini transiting your tenth house of Career and Status. The messenger planet feels right at home in Gemini where it will be in until July 8th. This will be an unusually long visit to this sign thanks its retrograde beginning on May 18th. In the meantime, focusing on your career and how you approach your vocation, or communication associated with your work, needs to be clarified before the retrograde. After which proceed with caution and make sure to take every opportunity to review, rethink, and recheck your facts before completing any projects. This theme of self-expression begins on May 3rd as the intense Scorpio Full Moon will highlight your third house of Conversation and Announcements. You may need to deal with some important information that’s been leaked by someone you don’t quite trust. On the other hand, you may be ready to share a huge secret with the world—and, more importantly, with a partner. On May 7th social Venus will set off for nurturing Cancer and your eleventh house of Friendships and Organizations. During this transit your earthy nature will be just what's needed to calm troubled waters, as others seek you out to help solve their problems or just wish to express themselves to someone they trust. Your livelihood receives a boost of adrenaline on May 11th as mighty Mars enters Gemini and your tenth house of Profession. This fiery planet will be making its presence known to your coworkers and the higher-ups. However, if you’re angry and feeling unappreciated during this alignment, its best to wait until next month to plead your case. On May 17th the Taurus Full Moon will light up your ninth house of New Experiences, Travel, and Higher Education. If you’re feeling restless this is the perfect time to do something about it. On May 21st the resilient Sun enters Gemini continuing to highlight your tenth house of Career.

Libra-You’re feeling much more curious this month Libra, as brainy Mercury and your ruler, fair-minded Venus, visit inquisitive Gemini and your ninth house of Higher Education and Adventure. You may find yourself over thinking in May as you fill your mind with so many interests that your thoughts become scattered. Fortunately, the vibrant Sun and courageous Mars continue to transit stable Taurus and your eighth house of Logical Thinking, providing a sound practical approach to your decisions making. On May 3rd the powerful Scorpio Full Moon will highlight your second house of Income and Values, urging you to take a closer look at resources, partnerships, and whether you are receiving mutual understanding and respect. Over-the-top Jupiter will be squaring this lunation so it’s possible that excessive spending or miscalculation of some sort is uncovered. On May 7th social Venus enters caring Cancer and your tenth house of Profession and Status. During this transit you find yourself being recognized by coworkers and higher-ups as more responsibilities arise and social activities increase. Your desire to travel and explore will be amplified on May 11th when red-hot Mars enters flighty Gemini and your ninth house of Learning and Experiencing. The Taurus New Moon on May 17th will give you a chance to financially start over as it highlights your eighth house of Shared Resources.  If you haven’t been getting the support you need from your partner or housemates, it may be time to lay down some non-negotiable ground rules. You become more nostalgic on May 18th as messenger Mercury goes retrograde in cerebral Gemini. This backward motion, which occurs in your ninth house of Higher Exploration, will have you pondering your long-term goals while revisiting old business in order to expand your horizons. On May 21st the creative Sun joins ambitious Mars and clever Mercury in your extremely nosy air-sign cousin Gemini.  This pack of planets will activate your curiosity and get you wondering about how to assemble the small elements of The Big Picture into something that will be a solid five-year plan, if you don’t already have one, it’s time to sit down and draw up the papers.

Scorpio- You may need to think outside the box this month Scorpio, as certain circumstances create growing pressure for change.  Lately you’ve making the most of favorable trends thanks to the radiant Sun in Taurus transiting your seventh house of Partnerships. At the same time, Jupiter’s direct motion and your tenth house of Career has had work related matters going your way. However, on May 3rd, the Full Moon in your sign will highlight your first house of Identity, urging you to take a long hard look at your relationships and your role in them.  This lunation will square philosophical Jupiter causing moodiness or fluctuating interest. This could affect your career, social status, or questioning your personal self worth. Your desire to travel and experience something new will increase as social Venus enters caring Cancer and your ninth house of Higher Expectations. This month’s New Moon on May 17th falls in your opposite sign of Taurus, highlighting your seventh house of Relationships and offering you alternative ways to work together with others. However, the following day the winged messenger, Mercury turns retrograde in your eighth house of Joint Finances.  If you’ve been trying your best to put the finishing touches on a business deal or to bring in inheritance issued to close, if it hasn’t happened by May 18th, it would be best to put it off for at least three weeks until the retrograde is over on June 11th.  After a long, lovely month in sensual Taurus, the resilient Sun will move into your solar eighth house of Intimate Relationships on May 21st, all done up in the mischievous sign of Gemini. Now, this sign had been known to be a tad on the fickle side at times, but you’re steady as a rock, so even if your eyes begin to wander towards others, you’ll be able to keep yourself in check—provided they’re not simply too delicious to pass up. On the same day there may be some controversy as you go head-to- head with someone over a different perspective.  A power-play could be a factor as your ruler, intense Pluto opposes magnetic Venus in Cancer. This could be a highly constructive confrontation.

Sagittarius-You find yourself analyzing every aspect of your life this month Sagittarius, as the vibrant Sun in mundane Taurus continues to transit your sixth house of Work and Daily Routine.  Evaluating your contentment, or lack thereof, with personal and professional partners challenges you to step back from your daily distractions to take a long range view of your relationships in May. It all begins on May 3rd as the reflective Scorpio Full Moon highlights your twelfth house of Consciousness and Spirituality. This lunation will square your ruler, philosophical Jupiter, requiring you to take a long hard look at your long-term plans.  You will feel a need to socially withdraw on May 7th when normally friendly Venus enters privacy-loving Cancer and your dimly lit eighth house of Intimate Partners. During this transit you may not see much of your friends as you will favor spending time alone by yourself or with a close loved one. Relationships take center stage on May 11th when red-hot Mars enters your solar seventh house of Others. The warrior planets’ arrival in this sector could bring friction into certain key relationships if you’re not careful, especially on May 14-16 when reactive Mars opposes stern Saturn, creating heavy responsibilities that leaves you feeling tied down.  The New Moon on May 17th will occur in determined Taurus; this sign is a virtual money magnet. If you’ve been thinking about a way to make some extra cash, you may consider some overtime at work.  If that’s not possible, consider turning your hobby into a part-time job. You will begin to review certain associations and their value to you on May 18th when messenger Mercury turns retrograde in your seventh house of Personal Relationships. During this transit you will be given an ample opportunity to sort out friendships that aren’t quite interesting enough to keep.  However, on May 21st the creative Sun will join fiery Mars, and talkative Mercury in your seventh house of One-on-One Relationships. This merry pack of Gemini energies will bring along at least one person that will actually give you a run for your money in the conversation department.

Capricorn- You’ll be in a very creative and playful mood this month Capricorn, thanks to the expressive Sun transiting fellow earth sign Taurus and your fifth house of Originality. Love, life and laughter are few of the themes of this solar transit; in general the temperament should remain light until May 21st. You may be summoned to participate in a group activity on May 3rd as the Scorpio Full Moon highlights your eleventh house of Groups and Associations. A favorable alignment will occur on May 6th when the majestic Sun in sensual Taurus trines  intense Pluto in your sign and your first house of Personality. You’ll suddenly feel the urge to let the world know how you feel—and more specifically, to let one particular person know just how happy you are that you found each other. The goddess of love, Venus, will take off for your seventh house of Relationships on May 7th, wearing nurturing Cancer. Your partner’s desires will be especially important to you, so much so that you might even make a rare display of public affection. There may be some confusion at work on May 8-10 as an elusive Mercury Neptune square causes misunderstandings and poor comprehension. Things really begin to heat up with your job on May 11th when red-hot Mars enters Gemini and your sixth house of Daily Responsibilities. This transit may have you burdened with lots of employment related projects or co-workers that are demanding of your time. Furthermore, there may be more serious matters at hand on May 14-16 when warrior Mars opposes your ruler, strict Saturn, forcing you to deal with as an authority figure that may be somewhat troublesome. Fortunately, on May 17th the sensual Taurus New Moon will supply you with ample opportunity for rest and recreation. The Mercury retrograde on May 18th is yet a further indication of a need to buckle down and bring some completion to work related matters. The messenger planets’ three week reversal will give you plenty of opportunity to sift out impediments to progress, weather the problem is personnel, health related, or obligations. You’ll receive some help on May 21st when the energizing Sun enters Gemini and highlights your solar sixth house of Occupation.

Aquarius-You’ll be longing for a little quiet time at home this month Aquarius, as the vibrant Sun continues to transit easygoing Taurus and your fourth house of Roots and Family Dynamics. You’ve been having quite a bit of fun lately thanks loving Venus in your recreational sector and outgoing Jupiter in your seventh house of One-on-One Relationships. This lively duo has kept you busy in many social circles, but finding one particular someone may still be a bit mystifying.  Fortunately, after May 21st when the brilliant Sun enters Gemini and your fifth house of Love and Romance, there will be lots of potential candidates, some of whom may actually be fascinating as well. Your solar axis of foundation versus career will be activated on May 3rd as the intense Scorpio Full Moon highlights your occupational needs and your emotional responsibilities at home. The prideful Sun will be opposing this lunation and both will be fighting for equal time, tend first to the professional matters that have been so troubling lately—they won’t go away unless you do your homework and figure out what’s really needed. Fortunately, some help arrives on May 7th as supportive Venus enters caring Cancer and your sixth house of Health and Vocation. During this transit a career development puts you in the spotlight—possibly a new responsibility or promotion that will be bestowed upon you.  Just be mindful not to burn the candle at both ends on May 11th when go-getter Mars enters Gemini in your fifth house of Speculation.  The desire for security and stability increases on May 17th as the New Moon in Taurus highlights your fourth house of Security. You’ll be revisiting the past on May 18th as messenger Mercury turns retrograde in your fifth house of Hobby- Related Activities. If a project or situation wasn’t cleared up or completed, this retrograde will give you plenty of opportunity to proceed in the way that you would like it to. Furthermore, the Sun’s arrival on May 21st into your fifth house of Fun Activities will continue to activate your sense of curiosity and playfulness.

Pisces- The need to express yourself will be quite strong this month Pisces, as the prideful Sun and assertive Mars continue to transit results- oriented Taurus and your third house of Communication and Conversations. With this aggressive dynamic duo prompting your mind and words into action, you may find that certain conversations become heated and could lead to misunderstandings. The stubborn sign of Taurus tends to hold on to ideas even when they don't fit current circumstances and future aspirations. Simplifying concepts by concentrating on one or two that are solid and letting the others go should make your life much easier in May. The combined efforts of the Scorpio Full Moon on May 3rd and the Taurus New Moon on May 17th will activate your solar axes of travel, so if you're in the mood to hit the road then hop on a train, bus, or plane and give in and just do it. It will renew your spirit and create or revitalize at least one relationship.  Let your mind and spirit run free to explore. On May 7th sensual Venus will tiptoe in Cancer and into your fifth house of Lovers, Playmates, and Relationships with Children.  During this transit be ready to shed some sentimental tears, pass out lots of hugs and enjoy the company of those who make your heart happy.  On May 11th mighty Mars enters the cerebral world of Gemini and your fourth house of Emotions and Foundation.  Family dynamics or property management issues tend to take up more of your time during this transit, just be mindful not to become too overly aggressive and irritate others as an annoying opposition to restrictive Saturn could challenge your desires and understanding.  Confusion and misunderstanding will certainly be in the stars on May 18th when mental Mercury turns retrograde in your fourth house of Family Dynamics.  In the obvious sense, this transit could indicate a readiness to change your mind and consider a family/domestic plan that you may have rejected earlier.  Fortunately, on May 21st the radiant Sun enters adaptable Gemini and your fourth house of Home Life to help find the necessary solution to your current situation.
