REMINDER: Brownsea Island Canoe Camping Weekend Fri 5 - Sun 7 July 2024
Hi , if you haven't yet signed up, here's a reminder of what you're missing. I visited on Saturday and the island is looking amazing!
Beginning at Wareham we paddle out into Poole Harbour, camping overnight on Brownsea Island on Saturday and finishing on the back on the mainland on Sunday afternoon.
Basic Information
- £44 per person (trip only)
- £10 boat hire (limited availability)
- £10 Open Water training (10 spaces available)
- The weekend qualifies as an ‘Open Water’ for the Progressive Canoe Award (https://www.britishcanoeingawarding.org.uk/download/357/)
- Participants will need to arrange transport to and from Dorset. We can try and help with car sharing.
- This is a self-catered camping trip. Participants will be expected to provide their own tent and food. Brownsea Island provides stoves and catering equipment. SSWAC will endeavour to partner up individual participants who wish to camp/cook as part of a group.
- Youth members (under 18) will need to have a named adult responsible for them when camping and off the water.
- The trip is limited to a maximum of 25 paddlers
Pre-requisites
To apply for places on the trip please email the following pre-requisite information. I will confirm with full trip information and booking/payment details
