Cry For Help
Most weeks our Queen of the Tea Urn, Gill, has to get the Chairman to ask (or more often beg) for volunteers to help with the tea and it seems to be the same old faces that volunteer week after week. It would be really nice to see some new names volunteer next time the call is put out for help. Let's face it, it's not exactly a difficult or taxing job; however, if you are one of those who have to do it week after week it means you never get to have a natter with other members or circulate during the tea breaks. If you're a newer member it would be a great way to get to know the entire club membership in one tea break without having to move from the spot, they'll all come to you.
So next time the Charman asks for help with the tea, let's see a sea of hands shooting up, with the owners shouting "me, me, me!" and let's hope that they aren't the same hands we have been seeing every week up until now.

Gill has said that if people don't come forward to help, it may well be tea for the speaker and nobody else which would obviously be extremely embarrassing all round.
