We're excited to share another week of news & ideas with our MAiZE family. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.
Thank You To All Who Attended Last Week's Corn Party
Many thanks to the 375+ members of our MAiZE family who attended the Corn Party last week in sunny Arizona, where we enjoyed beautiful 80 degree weather! The best part of our annual gathering is always the opportunity to reconnect and strengthen and/or form relationships within our amazing family of farming friends. We are so grateful for each of you & look forward to seeing you again in Pennsylvania this August for the Behind the Scenes tour and/or Hawaii in 2017 for the next Corn Party!
 
It's Official...Say Aloha to Hawaii
For those who weren't in Arizona last week and may not have heard the news...we are excited to announce Hawaii as the destination of our 2017 Corn Party!
We currently anticipate hosting the conference on the island of Oahu in either January or February and will be filling you in on details as they develop in coming months. Be sure to complete the survey below to help guide us in our planning. We can't wait to explore the islands with our MAiZE family in 2017!

Post Pics for One More Chance to Win Up to $100!
To help share ideas with those who weren't able to attend the Corn Party, and remind all of us of what we saw in Arizona this past week, we'd like to invite all of you to post some of your favorite photos or ideas from the conference and bus tours onto our private Facebook Forum. We'll be picking one photo/idea and awarding the person who posts it a $100 cash prize!
Rules:
1. If posting more than one photo, please create an "album" so that all photos are contained in one post, rather than being posted individually. 
2. All pics must be posted by Feb. 22 at 8 am MST.
3. As much as possible, pictures should capture an "idea" you gained at the conference.
4. Pictures/Ideas should be posted inside the MAiZE Siteowner Forum page at

5. A winner will be chosen based on several factors, including the number of likes their post receives, quality of the photo and/or description, etc.
6. To qualify to win, you must like at least one other posted Corn Party idea that is not your own.
Thanks guys. It'll be fun for all of us to see each other's pictures and relive memories from this past week! It'll will be an even better way to share our experience with those who weren't able to attend. Look forward to seeing all your pics!
 
Record-Setting Earnings in 3rd Annual Corn Party Auction!
Many many thanks to all those who donated or purchased items in last week's auction. More than $38,000 was generated for the Daniel Huffstutler Scholarship Fund, with all proceeds going to benefit college scholarships for family members and/or employees within our MAiZE family.
 
The advisory board will be making decisions on how to best distribute the funds this year and scholarship applications will be posted online this spring. We'll be sure to email everyone when the application becomes available. Thank you once again for the incredible support...and another huge thank you to Jeff Greenwood for the amazing job playing auctioneer. We think he's found a new career if he ever quits his day job!
 
Maze Design Opportunity with Peanuts
As was announced at the Corn Party, our farms have been invited to partner with Peanuts on a design this year honoring the 50th anniversary of "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". Below is a link to a short application that you'll need to fill out to start the process.

After you fill this out, you should be contacted by Peanuts to discuss your possible partnership with them. They will be the ones to coordinate all benefits you'll receive by working with them (rights to use images/artwork, possible character appearance, giveaways, etc.). Though they are interested in working with as many farms as possible, they will likely be limiting participating farms who would be competing for the same media coverage and/or customers. This would be in all of our best interests, as we are guessing none of you would want to have the same design as another farm in relatively close proximity to you.
 
As soon as we receive notice from Peanuts that you've been approved to partner with them, we will be able to begin designing your maze. I believe they plan to solidify their farm selections on March 1. If you have any questions in the meanwhile, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're excited for this fun opportunity and hope as many farms as possible will be able to participate!

In 2016 we have a second opportunity for a national maze campaign with Culver’s restaurant chain, who would like to create Thank You Farmers corn mazes in all 24 Culver’s states –Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming
