July's Memory Verse
John 10:28
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

- 3 Things That Stand -

We live in changing times. The world I grew up in is not the world we are living in today. Nations change. People change. Economies change. Families change. Technology changes. Change brings with it uncertainty. In this changing world, we have some things that are unchanging, some things that stand.
  • THE WORD OF GOD STANDS.
    - The Bible Endures. Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
    - The Bible Directs. Psalm 119:130, "The entrance of thy word giveth light:"
    - The Bible Delights. Psalm 119:92, "Unless Thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction."
    - The Bible Defends. Psalm 119:11, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
  • THE CHURCH OF GOD STANDS. (Matthew 16:18, "...upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.") Many denominations, cults, and religious movements have risen and fallen, but the Church of Jesus Christ stands.
    - The Church Stands To Exalt The Lord Jesus Christ.
    - The Church Stands To Obey The Lord Jesus Christ.
    - The Church Stands To Worship The Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church Stands To Proclaim The Gospel Of The Lord Jesus Christ.
  • THE SON OF GOD STANDS.
Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." The Jesus that saved the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus is the same Jesus that saved me 35 years ago.
    - Jesus is just as powerful today as He was in the N.T.
    - Jesus is just as compassionate today as He was in the N.T.
    - Jesus is just as holy today as He was in the N.T.
    - Jesus is just as forgiving today as He was in the N.T.
Praise the Lord, we can be certain that some things will never change. Let's live by God's Word, be loyal to God's Church, and genuinely love God's Son.

Our Neighborhood Bible Time Youth Crusade was an outstanding success with record enrollment, excellent Evangelists, dedicated church workers, and nearly 60 professions of faith. Praise the Lord and thank you so much to all that gave so much, prayed so diligently, and worked so hard.
We give glory to God for His Amazing Grace!

We'll be at the Garrett County Fair in two weeks with our display booth. Brother Greg Rinard and his wife Becky will be joining us on Friday & Saturday evenings to do evangelistic chalk drawings. Be sure to stop by and check us out!

August 17th is our "All American Sunday" with former Marine, Evangelist Dave Sommerdorf and his "Marine-Corps Vette." The "All American Picnic" follows the morning service with baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie! Join us for this outstanding day of patriotism, preaching, and picnicking.

Please join us this Sunday. In the morning hour I'll be preaching on "A Blank Check" from Matthew 15:21-28 and in the evening service we continue our study of the Gospel of James with a message entitled, "L.S.D."

Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to keep up with what is happening around here and, please check out our website at www.mlibc.org.

Bring your Bible and a friend and I'll be looking for you Sunday!

Sincerely, your friend,
