The Tehran Stock Exchange All-Share
Index closed down 0.28% at 78,609 today, with falls across almost all
sectors. Non-Metallic Ores (1.25%) was one of the few major sectors ending
in positive territory while Automotive (-2.19%) was the biggest faller. Automotive
was also the sector with the highest trading volume, with IRR 161 billion
(approx. USD 4.1 million) of shares traded. Today the main movers of the
All-Share Index were Iran Khodro (IKCO -3.85%), Chadormalu Mining &
Industrial Co. (CHML +1.89%) and Esfahan Oil Refining Co. (PNES -1.65%).
Azarab Industries Co. (AZAB +0.19%) recorded the highest trading volume,
with IRR 95 billion (approx. USD 2.4 million) of shares traded. In total 857
million securities were exchanged on the TSE for IRR 1,966 billion (approx.
USD 50 million), up 43% from the previous trading session on Sunday.
TSE30 Index
The TSE30 index of the thirty
largest companies by market capitalization closed at 3,216, down 0.32% from
the previous session. Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Co. (CHML +1.89%)
was the biggest gainer of the index, while Iran Khodro (IKCO -3.85%) was the
weakest. The top 30s’ total traded value stood at IRR 197 billion (approx.
USD 5 million), a fall of 42% from yesterday.
